Sad like $10 minimum wage, expanding medicaid or going into a universal healthcare is considered moderate but I guess it is. Just going to $9 or $10 minimum wage paying off social security and even lowering the full minimum social security age to like 62 or 63 would be phenomenal for me

Gillum was polling better than Nelson the whole time, was running against the crazier candidate and ran a better campaign, but he was still further away from winning than Nelson was. I think it was definitely the case of people not wanting to be racist when polled but when casting their ballot they couldn’t vote for darkie.

In today’s economy I don’t think a $10 minimum wage would matter. Walmart now starts people at $10 iirc and I drive by signs outside of fast food restaurants every day saying “Now Hiring at $12 an hour!”. If you can’t get a job that pays $10 an hour right now you really suck

Yeah, well thats the thing its easier for big businesses to pay it so the really high wages only hurt smaller businesses and smaller areas. But thats another thing too I dont think this country is in such horrible we need such drastic changes.
