Yup. When we are young we seek to leave the nest but eventually (most) want to create their own nest. Social circle shrinks and priorities are adjusted
The exhibit A, I guess, is with the baby boomers born in the first 7 years or so after WWII ended. When they became old enough to leave the nest and go to college, live on their own, go to nudist music festivals, dodge 'Nam, etc... the socialist and progressivist agendas were very, very strong with that generation when they were young... now the majority of them lean GOP.

Amazing to think all those hot naked hippy babes in Cali and Woodstock from the late 60s-early 70s are now bitter old Trump-thumping grandmas, well some of them at least![]()
Some. The rest are currently taking care of their mixed raced grandkids while daughter Becky "always picks the wrong men"
Becky: "But my life is so hard! The rich don't pay their fair share, I'm almost 40 and between jobs, have to take Lauren to choir practice, DeMarcus to basketball practice, and Maria Elena to tamale cooking school"
Some sliver of hope, perhaps.
I don’t understand how a “recount” is required for certain ballots to get counted in the 1st place. In the year 2018, all the ballots should be counted the night that polls close.
I am mail ballot voter. But decided to go in person. So I became a provisional voter. Won't be counted for a couple weeks
I ain't got time money for nuthin. My 5 fatherless kids need
some states require recount or re-vote when initial counts are with x percent, and/or when nobody gets 51%
and then normal prudence would demand a recount in red/slave states where Repug counting fraud is always suspected.
The AZ Republic is reporting that there are still 600k votes to be counted, which is ing insane. Most of them come from Maricopa County which has extremely red and extremely blue areas so it’s anyones guess as to who they favor.
LOL whenever Bernie Sanders is on the news and trending you know he done ed up.
I said a few days ago blacks are not excited for uncle Bernie and he would lose soundly in a primary because he's too dependent on the rural white voters (Sounds like someone we know?)
The fact that blacks, people who love getting from the government for free, don’t like the candidate who’s entire ing platform is about the government giving away for free is evidence of how ignorant they are on actual issues.
Shhh, you might scare some young liberals here who think that opinions don't change as priorities change - the major one being food/stuff for my kids will ALWAYS come before whatever bleeding heart liberal cause the young think are so important (at the time).
bolded - well, not YET for me.
Your government job and benefits are extremely important to you.
Bou wants to establish a nationwide $25/hr minimum wage
If Sinema wins her race and Nelson wins his (a lot less likely) I’d actually say it was a good night for the Democrats to gain over 35 house seats and to only lose 1 net senate seat when they were going in with an awful map. If they’re going into 2020 with 47 senate seats (not counting Alabama) then they can actually take the senate with decent voter turnout in North Carolina and Arizona.
Would be ing huge and highly uplifting.
Going from 49 to 45(+1 seat since tuesday) to maybe winning Arizona and retaining Florida would be great. Both Arizona and Florida have about the same margin of about 17k votes seperating the two.
Arizona seems like the best possible potential pickup though since there is a little more than half a million votes left to count. (that number of uncounted votes tho)
why not? America is too poor to pay living wage?
why subsidize businesses by paying TAXPAYER funds as public assistance to their businesses underpaid/poverty wage employees?
How about a $25/hr UBI?
If you made the minimum wage $25/hr then a studio apartment would balloon to $2000 a month.
Your buying power and the you can afford would remain relatively the same. Tourism would take a hit but I'd be travelling outside the US more
The remaining Maricopa ballots are a wildcard, but the 80k in ballots from Pima County are all from heavily liberal areas. Sinema is definitely the favorite at this point.
From Sinema's campaign manager:
Dont like it when people make these kind of bold claims but I'm gonna say a prayer and hope she never loses lead again.
flipping flake's seat would somewhat salvage what was a rough senate race for the dems...
