Na there were still 50-60k left in the other counties where all the crazy people live.
If you look on CNN you can see that the vote count was updated for a lot of the other counties today.
There were supposed to be something like 350,000 votes yet to be counted as of this morning. DOK was saying they can only process 75,000 votes a day so that would still be 275,000 votes to count. I wouldn't consider a 30,000 vote lead safe with that much still left to count.

The bulk of those though are from Maricopa and Pima county where Sinema is getting more votes from.
Like Will Hunting said, earlier the tally was updated and McSally actually cut into the 20 thousand lead and got it to around 18k. The 5PM batch benefited Sinema obviously.
What's your source on the 50-60k left though? Or is it from watching the vote counts on CNN's map?
Still Maricopa has some very red parts too. With 275,000 votes left to count it could still turn out bad.
My source is azcentral.com
The thing is that the red parts of Maricopa are largely suburban areas that became purple on this election cycle. It’s a lot of educated women who have voted Republican their entire life but despise Trump and voted Democrat down the ballot this time around.
Its why I’m optimistic that Arizona is truly becoming a purple state. It’s rural areas are more Hispanic and diverse so it doesn’t have the stronghold of rural conservative voters that other red states do, it’s been red in the past because of how conservative Phoenix was and that seems to be changing.
OK thanks, I just checked their coverage of the election. So McSally seems to be banking on mail in ballots dropped off at polling sites in Maricopa on election day to save her. Claims there are 200,000 such ballots.
Are statewide races still ruby red though? It's not a case of diminished enthusiasm because McSally was once a Trump critic?
The governors race was ruby red because the Democratic candidate was a clown who went over the top pandering to Hispanics (legitimately wore a sombrero during a speech), but the other races were really close.
The diminished enthusiasm in Phoenix is because of Trump, not because of McSally. The feud between Trump and McCain particularly pissed a lot of Phoenix Republicans off.
That makes sense. Hopefully that means the state remains purple for the 2020 election too then.
I think it goes blue if a candidate like Beto is able to get the young and Hispanic vote engerized.
It’s also why I think Nevada is solid blue now. The midterms if nothing else show that there’s a giant divide between rural and urban America right now and if that divide continues to grow Nevada and Arizona don’t have a big enough white rural voter base to keep electing conservatives.
Still, Rosen got a lot of help from Rick Perry's ignorant ass when at the end of October Perry announced they were still building that nuclear waste dump that er had been campaigning against. I'm not sure I'd call it a blue state yet.
You have to look at population trends though - Vegas is one of the fastest growing cities in the county so 2 years from now its vote is going to make up an even bigger portion of the state.
Who designed the ballot?
Butterfly redux? Bad ballot in Broward County may cost Nelson thousands of votes—and maybe the win
from the New York Times:
Results from Broward [County, Florida] so far indicate that
nearly 25,000 people cast votes for governor but not for senator,
even though the Senate race came first on the ballot.
Enthusiasm for Mr. Gillum’s candidacy may account for some of the difference, since he excited many voters who cared chiefly about electing him.
But some Democrats believe that the design of the ballot used in the county played a role:
The Senate contest appeared in the bottom left-hand corner of the first page,
beneath the instructions to voters,
where it may have been easily overlooked.

Are the (FL) ballots reviewed and approved before the election?
Repug rat ers.
Sorry boo but that ballot was approved by Broward County officials, can’t blame the GOP for that one.
each county designs its own ballots, or are they statewide?

How Big Oil Money Killed Green Ballot Measures
Four major ballot measures would have limited fracking, expanded renewables, and enacted the nation’s first-ever carbon fee bit the dust on Tuesday.
The common theme between them was the record-setting amount of fossil fuel (and in the case of an Arizona renewable energy measure, utility) money put into the opposition campaigns.
All told, roughly $100 million was deployed in the interest of staving off these regulations,
and the investment paid dividends for the opponents at the expense of the climate.

Each county has its own. Palm Beachs ballot had the senate race showing more prominently on the ballot so it didn’t have this issue.

"I think it's time we started talking about this."
The Cons ution won't be / can't be amended because the Repugs/oligarchy have $Bs to obtain/maintain domination of the red/slave/rural states that will block any progressive amendment, eg the ed up Senator allotment (30% of the population gets 70% of the Senators), to protect wealth and power of the oligarchy.
So "talking about this" says one has no ing idea that the oligarchy is unstoppably continuing to up America for the non-oligarchy.
BigOil just spent pocket-change of $100M, in mid-terms, to block regulations on BigOil in several states. Unstoppable.
