really amazed by how bad Poeltl is ... every time I watched some condensed or full games of the raptors last season he had his moments ... now he is complete garbage and cannot create anything

Teams with 2 "star" players shouldn't be dropping games to scrub teams. Terrible roster construction and terrible team leaders in LMA and DD. Scrubs all around.

The team leader is Patty Mills. That's why they pay him the big bucks.

It's looking more and more like it's on the way he's being coached. Sure, half of it lies within himself, yet.. Somehow so far looks like both young Europeans respond badly to it. And both play like s s of themselves.
Doesn't help that they're both limited players, either. But, somehow it just doesn't seem right to not play to their strentgths.

I was at the game. Poetl is too soft, I think Spurs is wasting roster space on this guy. IMO, Brimah is better than Jakob.
Thanks for the first hand account.

easy, and Brimah is not good
Brimah can rebound and block shots. Brimah likes to chase the ball for blocks. Jakob will chase ball so he can do the inbounds.

Its getting scary how bad DeRozen is shooting 3's this season.

    5-25 on the season (20%)
I was going to comment on his three point shooting after a watched the game, but I didn't have time as I had to go to work.

I said earlier in the season that his shooting form is no good from three point range and that I don't think he'll ever be a consistent or good three point shooter unless he changes his form. I saw a video a week or so ago with DeMar shooting threes with Chip, and I find it hard to believe that Chip is letting him shoot it like that. He's bringing the ball a little too far back and to the side of his head. He doesn't have any range with a shot like that and the accuracy is terrible.

I’d say we’re about average tbh.. .500 ball club when it’s all said and done imo.
That might not be a playoff team

Agreed. Hope he makes it work somehow though.

If it's any consolation, Jrue and Moore just dropped a big one, 59 points on the Raptors, like they spent a week on a chili diet.

The Raptors looked last night kinda like the Spurs vs Orlando. Couldn't get a stop.

I think I read that he shoots 3s differently than how he shoots midrange jumpers. That implies that he has to think about his form while shooting from 3. At this point it's murdering efficiency ; Id rather him stop taking them and focus on only 2 pointers. He's shooting well from inside the arc and still getting to the line.

Keeping Green and shipping out Gasol would've solved a bunch of this teams problems...

His form is OK inside the arc. It's a closer range shot, so his form seems to work for him inside the arc, however, I just don't think he can shoot threes unless he changes that form. I can't believe Chip is letting him shoot long range shots like that. It sucks because DeMar could reach another level if he could shoot threes decently.
