The dominant source of power in America is wealth, the wealth of the oligarchy, not citizen voters.
People are so ing LOST in the THEORY of democratic society, that they fail to see America is not a democracy, wasn't founded as a democracy, but as an oligarchy (wealth, slave-owning white men, excluding women, blacks, Indians,etc)
Of course, the oligarchy is amused that people are LOST in, especially distracted from the oligarchy's machinations, by the democracy myth.
Btw, it’s worth noting that McSally conceded much earlier than she really needed to and did so with class and dignity in spite of the fact that everyone else in close races is filing lawsuits and making accusations with no basis. Both political parties need more people like her.

Some of the shifting political winds have made the GOP's gerrymandering obsolete.
Cool thing is that we ground level organizing Democrats here in Texas learned a LOT collectively, and now have another two years to prep for that contest. The GOP in this state already pretty much does what they can do, so they don't have as much room to improve as we do.
I have not seen any reduction in interest or energy on the part of my local group, who was part of flipping Hays county blue.

Forget which far left guy you are but if youre the one who thinks the republicans are going to be extinct in a few years it would be pretty easy for them to rebrand themselves after a few election cycles/losses
