Obviously Cunningham, have you seen his shooting the last few games?
I can hear Bill's soul die a little very time he's forced to say "Dante's Inferno"

For Pau Gasol, team is thicker than blood: "Yeah, it was a foul. They didn't even see it, or look at it. Especially when they called one pretty similar to turn the game around."

Pop ing needs to say something and get fined
Sadly, Pop has never in my memory ever, ever torched the refs after a game to the media. During the game, he works them, but he's too hung up on decorum to actually try and win the game around the game

Phil Jackson worked the officiating to the media because it worked. Not all the time. But enough of the time.

And it helped Jackson beat the Spurs in the playoffs.

Pop's refusal to play that game has cost the Spurs playoff games, it has probably cost them playoff series.

, just giving a single rant about being 'rooked' and 'take that for data' turned the officiating on the last Memphis series and prevented what would have been a sweep.

I cringe that Dante Cunningham and Quincy Pondexter are getting meaningful minutes in 2018.

These guys were already years ago and PATFO slurpers in 2018 are trying to argue that they're great because they play hard and sometimes do good things.

Even though that's essentially what all 15th men ing do....And we have about 3 or 4 of them.

I would amend this to say they both played the kind of d you don't play in the game's first 47 mins. and 58 seconds of the game but that you should be able to play in the last two seconds of the game because refs aren't supposed to bail teams out. Granted, I'm mostly pissed at that costly turnover by DeRozan with a minute to go when we could've had the game under control.
see what you're saying, still risky d going up a guys grille, bodying up especially when you got the length to defend. Rudy and Marc both had time on their side as in knowing the opposition had under 2secs to make a play. More importantly however, you don't leave it for the refs to decide. Coaches hate it. that was a brain-fade by rudy that took away a spurs win.

If Spurs FO was honest with themselves about being still in a win now mode they would not be having Cunningham and Forbes in a NBA starting line up, let alone them getting significant minutes sorry to say. And don't get me started with Paul and Patty...

He can still talk to the media without being a clown like Fizdale was. Out of all seasons this is one they can't afford to lose games due to the refs crap. If they can call foul when Gasol clearly waited for Rudy to get close to sell it, they can call a foul on the same Gasol that invaded LMa's shooting space and got his arm. They would've called it if it was dear Steph.

In fact, Gasol bailed LaMarcus out, LMa not being a really good 3pt shooter and having to make that rushed shot. Marc shoul've payed the price.

That was such a double standard. NBA said very clearly at the beginning of the season, the freedom of movement will be called until the last play. They called it on the second last play. And I still remember seeing Forbes getting clotheslined by Harris in LA on the last play.

These guys weren't anything special when they were getting meaningful minutes for the Grizzlies in 2011-12.

Dante Cunningham is exactly the same player he was 7 seasons ago except he shoots 3s now.

Quincy Pondexter has always been a mediocre to below average player. Being the Grizzlies' best player in the 2013 series against the Spurs is his only actual accomplishment which he followed up by being absolutely horrible the next 2 seasons with the Grizzlies.

"It just sucks," Rudy Gay said. "We worked our asses off. It's crazy that one play is going to define the whole game." On a foul ending for the Spurs against Memphis:

This game will mean nothing if we don't evolve as a team.
I prefer what the loss might bring as desire to turn things over
Awful reffing, Gasol defended like a rookie and refs bailed him out.
    Move on
