The NFL is always better when my Niners the Cowboys and Raiders are in the mix.

The Cowboys are back, and will rule the East for awhile now. Very realistic to see them seriously in the NFC Champs mix, 2020?

Not if the Cowboys let Lawrence walk, and say the Eagles pick him up.

Jerry loves his offense, so don't be surprised if D-Law walks because of megadeals for Cooper (deserved), Prescott, Elliott, and Geoff Swaim.

He's made more of an impact than Taco has in two years, I would say he is quite a bit better. He doesn't blow up the stat sheet but he is a solid rotational player.
Both guys are below average. It sucks but it is what it is. At least the starters are competent for a change.

There is absolutely no reason to start Lee whatsoever unless it is a nominal thing. The D is rolling, don't with it and definitely don't cut into LVE's snaps.
Don't worry, Lee will aggravate the injury by halftime

The Wolf Hunter will dominate again

Cowboys have a lot of dead money coming off the books this offseason, I’d be really surprised if they can’t keep Lawrence. The 2020 offseason will be more challenging for them because of Zeke + Prescott.

Could always be a stupid team out there but I’d be surprised if Cooper gets a mega deal. He was stinking up the joint in Oakland and hasn’t shown enough consistency to warrant top dollar.

One's a first, one's a fourth rounder. I think Armstrong will just get better and he's way cheaper.

Cooper is pretty awesome and he's shown that he can be a volume possession receiver, too, not just the deep speed threat who gets targeted 3-4 times a game. He's completely changed Dak on 3rd downs. Also, we traded a 1st round pick for him, so we can't let him go for nothing. (Definitely not for a 3rd- round comp. pick.)

I would definitely pick up Zeke's fifth year option to push that one back another year. Then potentially franchise him a year and let him walk. I'd set a hardline number on extending Prescott long term and not exceed it no matter what. Give him the Bortles contract, but look at what happened to Boooooortles this year.

I don't want to lose ANYONE from this defense... welp, maybe Jeff Heath. I guess Ty Crawford is expendable.

If you go by draft position then yeah, valid point.

I guess 1 bad first round draft pick every 5 years (Claiborne 2012, Charlton 2017) is acceptable when literally every other 1st round pick is an All-Pro Pro Bowler, possible future hall of famer (T. Smith 2012, Frederick 2013, Martin 2014, B. Jones 2015, Zeke 2016, Leighton 2018).

I agree they should keep Cooper, but I think they’ll be able to do it for less than he’s making now.

he's making like 4 mil right now tbh

next year would be his 5th year option (which has been exercised) and he'll be making ~14 mil

based on the type of season he has, who knows what his market will be. if he goes back to the form we saw his first 2 years, he's gonna command a ton.

Yeah I misspoke, I was referring to the $14mm number.

Being this close to being back to being relevant I can see Jones doing whatever it takes to keep it going. He'll figure it out.

He'll make at least 16 mill per. They were willing to give that much to Watkins lol

I expect them to keep Zeke thru his 5 year deal, franchise him one season, then more than likely replace him with a rookie RB as RB careers are about 6 years now on average

He's really not.. he makes plays on special teams, and the occasional defensive play.. he's just not starting caliber. His shortcomings are masked in part because of Jeighton Vander Smith's combined 190 tackles

Jones has already said he will break the bank to win a ring. I have no worries that the Cowboys will be too frugal, however a position like RB where rookies typically lead the NFL (Gurley, Zeke, Hunt or this season right up at the top in Barkley) I could definitely see them low balling Zeke.

Dude from college who changed his position to LB because it's best for his business is going to start a trend, watch

That dude from college is someone ya need to Google, he's more than ya think****. Yes, he could change things

Zeke is just too big, too important to mess with, I can't see Jones trying anything with him.

    Bottom line

The Cowboys will end up...11-5...win the division, maybe win a first round game. Next season another Division le, then....hmmm?

Just a matter of time before another SB giving them what 7/8?

**** I Google his Boise State career, what an athlete.

Run Dak more, just be smart about it.

He's leading the league in fumbles, yet I don't believe he's had one on the run..

I always scream at Linehan to run more RPOs. You have a QB that runs like a FB yet can't throw that well and you're trying to turn him into Aikman.

Whenever their backs are against the wall is when they decide to employ it. For whatever reason they don't keep it consistent with the RPO. I wouldn't overuse it, but they have the tendency to never use it.

I hope this win streak doesn't keep Linehan around. He still needs to go.

Watkins $16m/year (starting slot receiver, but only good for about half a season due to injuries) and Hitchens $9m/year (as average as it gets at linebacker) will really come back to bite the Chiefs in the ass soon enough..
