tbh of all items, entertainment/luxury products should be the least controversial when it comes to sales tax

You are paying the same taxes you would be as if you were buying it at a retail store. Game costs 59.99 you're gonna be paying upwards to 5 bucks depending on your state tax.

    lol cents.
The internet should NOT be taxed. Net neutrality... free internet. That is the way of good. People should be able to choose who they want to support financially without giving up the entertainment which is their livelihood and source of happiness. Hence, why I choose to watch my NFL streams for free on Reddit and not put any of my hard-earned money into the filthy hand of the greedy, rich, corrupt, snooty Nazi Goodell.

Basically, you'd have to rack up a load of that tax for it to even remotely land on their radar. As stupid as MM is, the idea, while too much hassle for most people who can foot a measly 10 cents on the dollar, wouldn't register on anyone's radar.
It's not about "footing 10 cents on the dollar". It's about not wishing to waste more of my own precious money that I shouldn't have to spend. I don't care if I was a millionaire, I don't cave into extortionists because it's against my moral compass and lifelong hatred of government and taxation.

Agreed. The rigged system already has both parents working and giving the lion's share of their money to the man. Let their ing kids have a childhood at least FFS.

Of course you didn't mean it that way; you were just right without being right.

Right. If anything, I'd support a high tax on fast food and restaurant food so maybe we don't have to be the most obese nation on the globe.

I think taxing fast food/restaurant food in general is a slippery slope since people need to eat food to survive (I do however think it’s stupid people can use their EBT card to buy Jack in the Box).

I would OTOH support a tax on soda and other sugary drinks that have no nutritional value. There’s nothing in soda people need to survive that water doesn’t have. People drinking soda in the quan ies it was consumed 40 years ago wasn’t that much of a problem but the 64 ounce megagulps you can now buy for 79 cents are a big cause of the uptick in type 2 beetus.

i don't eat much to begin with and i don't always dine at $20/plate restaurants. closest thing to fast food for me is chipotle/las palapas. i'm very limited in what i eat too because of my gluten allergy. wish i was a hipster and my gluten allergy was really just trendy and not an allergy at all but it is and it sucks when i eat anything with wheat in it.
