    Adam Gase now.

Its not official yet but rumor is that Marvin Lewis and Steve Wilks have already told their coaching staffs that they’re done.

This might end up being one of the worst black Mondays ever.

EDIT: Nevermind, Marvin Lewis is official.

Rex Ryan made the AFCCG his first two seasons as a head coach in spite of having butt fumble at quarterback. Unlike Wilks, his defensive scheme actually requires good coaching and being able to dial up blitzes at the right time and consisted of more than being able to drop 7 into coverage because your front 4 grand pressure on its own.

You think Hue, Marvin Lewis, Vance Joseph, and Todd Bowles shoulda kept their jobs?

Wilkes May have been premature but that was a train wreck. Ruined his best players on both sides of the ball.

I agree. I'm all for equal opportunity 100%, and would definitely endorse Kris Richard over Jason Garrett for the Cowboys. That said, raw affirmative action is downright bogus, anti-merit, and anti-American, and should go the way of the dodo along with "diversity" and "need based" scholarships... Merit based is the only fair way.

Good to see Marvin Lewis finally got the axe, didn't believe I would live to see the day.

The better argument would be that a lot of these GMs get way too much rope, but that happens with both black and white coaches, the owners get way too caught up in having a personal relationship with the GMs and keep them around too long as a result. John Elway has been a ty GM and largely lucked out in getting Peyton as a free agent. He shouldn’t get to keep his job if Vance Joseph doesn’t. The Jets GM shouldn’t get to scapegoat Bowles when it’s not Bowles fault the Jets front office thought Christian Hackenberg was a future franchise QB, but that doesn’t change the fact Bowles hasn’t done anything to deserve another year.

The difference with Elway is that he's a Broncos hero and legend. The fans and city would be pretty pissed off if they downright kicked him off the team. Maybe "promote him to front office" and let another guy be the main decision maker? Idk. But that's a really tough one.

yeah the typical rule of thumb i've seen is that head coaches get to have 2 shots with coordinators, GM's head 2 shots with head coaches

But it doesn’t make sense that GMs get more time than coaches. After 3-4 seasons, a GM has had enough time to put several solid draft classes together regardless of how bad the team was at the time the GM took over. If a team is still as talent barren as the Jets/Cardinals are after 4+ seasons with the same GM it means the GM needs to go.

It's not nearly black enough if I don't see Jason Garrett on the list.
