I guess the Patriots get to take revenge on the Chargers for stealing their playoff berth in the Matt Cassel year by winning their ty division at 8-8 while Belichick got cheated out of the opportunity to prove that the Patriots' success was his and only his.

Khalil "no impact in real games" Mack

    The Black JJ Watt

The audacity to even mention these Kevin Loves in the same breath as Von Miller..I'd even take Melvin Ingram over them..

Nick Foles is the luckiest QB I've ever seen not named Eli Manning
Melvin Ingram is abeast despite short arms I wanted him that draft soo bad.
He an aaron donald are two guys I had hoped would desperatelly fall that did not.
We got really good picks in both drafts ...

This year it was Derwin James but LVH was a great consolation prize

Just remembered that Matt Nagy decided to beat the Vikings in the last game of the season (even when the Rams had a comfortable lead and secured the 2 seed) which caused them to have to play the Eagles instead of an easy win vs. the Vikings in the Wild Card round.

I think the whole Bird Box challenge was initiated by Netflix to get people to watch their ty movie and believe that everyone else has watched it and loved it.

That’s way too generous of a review.

The concept wasn’t bad but the movie was awful and way too predictable. The part where they let the guy into the house when John Malkovich says not to and the guy ends up being bad, etc.

I didn't think it was terrible for what it wanted to be..I watched it with the lights off and the full sound system in play, it did a good job of building suspense IMO..

It was ultimately empty with no substance, but I didn't really expect any different from a Netflix movie that was meant to generate social media buzz..

I can’t get over all the bull they pulled off while being blindfolded. Even the little things. Like how did they find a spool with thousands of feet of wire. And driving the car to the store, parking it, then loading it up and driving back again. Or how the did those birds survive in the grocery store. Or being dropped into the river.

I think what really bothers me is that everyone involved gets career bumps for this piece of .

yeah them being at the grocery store and then suddenly back at the house with no hiccups was hilarious

I didn’t even think about all of the other stuff you mentioned though. The fact there’s also a 5 year gap between them being in that house to them being in the woods doesn’t make sense either (ie how did they get from a suburban neighborhood to a remote cabin out in the woods while blindfolded).

Yeah...it’s a total mess. And back to the store trip. During the initial frenzy, cars were going all over the place...crashing, running into curbs, being abandoned. And they navigate all that with GPS and the car’s sensors. It’s just one unbelievable thing after another.

I think that made a huge difference. You can see the ball radically move left after being deflected. I think that it would've been fairly central like the one kicked after the timeout otherwise.

    a) the first act, like a lot of these "collapse of civilization" horror movies, was the strong point. same with that ty dawn of the dead movie from 2004 or whatever. the first 30 minutes were fantastic

    b) the rest was pretty slow. as stated, the driving scene was incomprehensible. im all about suspension of disbelief for certain aspects of film, but that's not a get out of jail free card for any ridiculous stunt to be pulled off. can i buy that the weird things made people kill themselves? yes. thats the premise of the film, so i'll buy that. that doesnt mean that people can drive around like that. and its incredibly unlikely that the roads would be as clear as they were. cars should be all over the streets in all lanes. massive traffic jams, etc.

    c) i think the worst scene was at the end in the woods. the boy tells the mom that daughter is scared of her. probably years of distrust. the mom was ting on their hopes and dreams when "dad" was around. that kind of resentment doesn't instantly go away because mom makes a 15 second "impassioned" plea.

i didnt think the acting really stood out one way or the other. except bullock shouting to the daughter came off very badly. and that was supposed to be a huge scene. otherwise i didnt think anybody really torpedoed it or anything

I think the children surviving the boat flipping over and magically making it to shore without drowning while keeping their blindfolds on was even more incomprehensible than the driving scene.
