Thats a fair speculation but maybe he has a friend who refers to MLK using that word and he recently got in an argument with the friend about it because he found it offensive so it was fresh on his mind, either way it’s all speculation regarding what appeared to be an innocent mistake. Your scenario is probably more likely, but I don’t think he deserves to lose his job because he quite possibly might be someone who refers to MLK as Martin Luther Coon.

i wouldnt even call it "my scenario"... i think its just a slip. but the fact that it can be speculated so heavily is why the company is forced to act. i dont blame them. but sucks for the guy (if it was an innocent slip and not a guilty slip)
