    There's no one else who was even close. Ayton is probably runner up but there's no way he should win it when his team is so much worse than Doncic's.

    Ayton is damn good on offense and yesterday it was really sad to see him play with 4 scrubs and no one passed him the ball. I know he was in foul trouble but he should get more shots, especially with Booker out. But yea, it's clear that Luka is right now the best rookie. He's is also the only rookie that is the leader of the team. It's pretty weird that a 19 year old is the most consistent player on the Mavs.

    Yeah, Ayton’s gotta demand more touches. Not like anyone on that team, aside from Booker, has the clout to tell him no. I see games where he’s only got like 4 attempts through 3 quarters. No way he should be doing that.

    Also pretty funny how pre-draft the knock on Luka was “ he played in Europe against doughy 40 year olds, no way he can adjust athletically to the NBA ” but now that he’s playing great, the excuse is “ he’s been a professional since he was 16, OF COURSE he’s better than other rookies ”

    They don’t have a point guard or anyone who can set the offense up for that matter, and they also have a coach who’s clueless, but yeah the knock on Ayton is his lack of a type A personality.

    If he ever develops a higher intensity level and starts demanding the ball he’ll be averaging 25 PPG.

    A 19 year old kid is literally the most clutch player in the league. Not just “clutch”. Not “he’s hit some clutch shots”. He’s already the #1 guy who you want taking a last shot. This is insane.

    He's ok, tbh, probably looks great against the Lakers... I just feel his game takes the ball away from the real talent on the team, Wesley Mathews and Harrison Barnes, tbh...
