What if we finish in the top 4?
So name the top 4 team they are favoured to beat.

Ah. All the eggs are on that basket, huh. So name the 5th seed this team as constructed is supposed to steamroll.
These s better do something in the playoffs. The cowboys just the bed per usual and I need some postseason action. Son of a .![]()
I only feel confident going up against the Clippers. Maybe the Guests, but Portland gets crazy home cooking which can shake our guys especially Depressedzan.
Work mentally on DeRozan as we've done with LMA
Where did I say steamroll lol. It's tough to predict any playoff standings in the west, in January. But there are def teams we can beat.
He thinks it's the playoffs
Roll with it like I'm rolling with your hesitancy and stalling. Feels like it would make a good poll, no? Which western playoff team would the Spurs beat in a 7 game series? Let's hear what the rest of the board has to say. Too bad I dunno how to post a poll.
I've BEEN saying that and ppl have been calling me the bad guy... Yall will soon see...
Bruh, there's no stalling lol. I think as it stands now, GS/Denver/Houston is a bad match up . Outside of that, no one is unbeatable imo.
But like I said, u literally can't predict anything cause the standings are so close. There's a good chance we can make a push and end up with HCA in round 1. With our remaining schedule vs others in the West.
There, that wasn't so hard, was it. So if I'm getting this straight, your Spurs roadmap to advancing to the semis is crossing our fingers that OKC drops to 5th seed, HOU takes their place and the Spurs locking up the last HCA spot. Then all the Spurs need to do is eliminate OKC in the postseason opener. Hey, the 2nd ranked DRTG Jazz did it last year, these Spurs should be able to replicate that feat. Or better case scenario, OKC drops even further than 5th and some overachiever like LAC takes their place.
Spurs really do control their destiny. True sign of a legit team.
DeRozan tried to shoot his way out of a slump, and...it didn't work. He'll heat up again at some point; he's not gonna stay a 30% shooter for the rest of his career. Aldridge was cold to start the season, everyone thought he was done, and he goes on to set a career high in scoring.
Agrees. The Spurs played 5 games in 7 days, it caught up with them. This loss isn't really too big of a deal. If anything I think it shows that they are streets ahead of where they were to start the season.
DeRozen was pretty awful again tbh. Messed lay ups and free throws, bad turnovers, picking up a tech, Forbes was aggressive -probably too much so and Mills was pretty bad. On the bright side Belinelli has has continued to play well and. I didn't think Bertans played poorly just wasn't enough.
that was the expected loss but I think at least there was a chance if not for fluky 3 point shooting of OKC ... Derozan continues to detoriate though ...
tough luck. Also don't want my teams losing but it is what it is

Didn't see 2nd half; but I said on pg 1 that the league was gonna make sure OKC got this one.
I suspect he's getting minutes due to his passing ability.
Maybe Rudy could improve DeMar's game by adding another matchup problem for OKC.
I think bklyn said they can win a series. Guessing you think they can't.
Yes please. Dude needs an intervention.
I think that's fair point about Gay but DeRozan has been a disaster against OKC but it's mostly been bad decisions and less him getting shut down.
He aslo had to do a better job of keeping his emotions in check, a couple of calls don't go his way and he loses his focus.
I remember earlier this season he got called for a foul while defending on a screen. He got knocked down and popped up and stormed over to the ref as if he were actually about to hit him. He sulked and continued to complain and he wasn't nearly as good the rest of the game.
Agreed
