You said they didn't make corrections, Nathan.
Obviously they make corrections. The problem is virtually nobody hears their corrections.
posted 30 tweets since this.
You did. You think you're the only one?
He's said for a long time he has been trying to get off Twitter. To his credit he does use smaller platforms like minds.com. He has frequently said he uses the site less. However, a big event like this surely increases that usage.
"It was terribly dangerous to let your thoughts wander when you were in any public place or within range of a telescreen. The smallest thing could give you away. A nervous tic, an unconscious look of anxiety, a habit of muttering to yourself—anything that carried with it the suggestion of abnormality, of having something to hide. In any case, to wear an improper expression on your face (to look incredulous when a victory was announced, for example) was itself a punishable offence. There was even a word for it in Newspeak: FACECRIME, it was called."
He said he was done with Twitter.
He is not done with Twitter.
A small fraction of the original people will hear this. The were really pounding that elderly, native American, Vietnam Veteran, etc angle to villianize the students. This correction won't see that airtime.
a mob of people wearing white hoods is a provocation to any black person
a mob of maga hatters = no difference
I'm aware. I saw his posts after that.
You're demanding equal time for corrections?

So he lied.
No, I'm suggesting they do a better job in the first place. But in the case of this monumental bluder I think they should be correcting the overall story with a concerted effort. Like many times per day for multiple days.
It all started with a smirk. A facecrime to many. What did it represent? A controlling white male patriarchy. Only a white male could smirk like that. Only a person of color could know the harm is causes and what it represents.
"monumental"
You're really overselling the importance of this story.
The the lazy/biased journalism and the reactions surrounding the story make it pretty significant event.
That would explain the numerous attacks on people wearing the hat, but it doesn't justify it.
It's a nothing burger you can feign outrage about for a few days.
Ah ok so everything you’ve said is based off the ridiculous false premise that MAGA hat = KKK hood. That makes sense. Still doesn’t explain why the Black Hebrew Israelites were berating the people walking by who weren’t wearing the MAGA hats though (ie the black guy they referred to as a coon). Also doesn’t explain why the Israelites would target sexuals with their rhetoric after being allegedly “provoked” by a group of Southern Catholic kids for wearing “white hoods”. The KKK probably hates sexuals just as much as the Black Israelites do.
You need to accept the fact that some people voted for Trump and like Trump for reasons that aren’t racist or prejudice. The sorry who lives in Scranton PA and voted Democrat his entire life prior to Trump but was hopeful Trump could bring jobs back isn’t racist for wearing a MAGA hat. The notion that anyone wearing a MAGA hat is racist is an inflammatory generalization to make.
I think people are crazy to wear that hat. There are WAY to many examples of people getting attacked while wearing it. Doesn't seem worth it, imo.
darrins wears his inside.
Don't have one
Back to what Pavlov said, the real up here was taking a bunch of high school kids wearing MAGA hats on a field trip to some political event that appears to feature various fringe groups![]()
