You're forgetting something. Humanity got to the top of the world's ecosystem not with their advantage in size, speed, agility or anything else, but rather their brain power.

Edelman is the smartest receiver in the league, particularly with regards to route running. If Sproles is the GOAT of scatbacks, Edelman is the GOAT of slot receivers.
