Ok, this tune always brings back memories of my navy days, first time I heard it I was at a bar on Wikiki called The Red Noodle, the house band took off on it..
I had no idea it was a cover of a Looking Glass tune until later.
I turned 21 on Wikiki, was at another bar dancing with a long tall blond n a cool black dress (Hollies) from Philly. at the stroke of midnight and my birthday a couple buddies stuck a drink (Singapore Sling) in my hand (they knew) out on the dance floor, she was...?????...when I told her it was my B-day she grabbed me and gave me a big nasty french kiss, then a....happy birthday.
This one takes me back to my peach picking days (17/18), me and a buddy had our radio out in the field to combat the Mexicans with their....I YI YI YI I wear a sombrero.
