What faith is based on is important.
My contention is not to belittle science as a way to have a more rational faith based belief.
My point is that we (flawed if we think we can be perfectly rational) invented science and science is a very powerful tool because can be predictive.
But it is limited in scope and therefore it makes perfect sense to me that people will always rely on metaphysical and supernatural explanations. Especially if they really understand how science works. IMO science raises more questions than it answers.

The above apparently is not a pleasant thought for people who are concerned with zealous irrational religious types.
Especially religious types, who when asked questions about their God, pretend like they understand their God perfectly and make their own wild decrees. Those of us who live in the US, and have been subjected to some of the wilder protestant types, are very aware of what people can do with Bible verses. Make up. Instead of a simple I don’t know.

This should not stop us from exploring what science can and cannot do.

And it’s obvious to me that people who do have religious inclinations adjust their believe system based on what current
