That and koriwhat's desperate cries for my attention.
Sweet tears, nom nom nom.
attention is the least of all things i seek. i just think you're in the playpen with the rest of the children.![]()
she didnt say christianity is creepy. i mean the quote is right there
she called the theological order creepy.
She didn't say all Christians are creepy.
Just your brand of the snake oil.
"Christians are working to destroy the United States."
That's true.
Damaged, if not destroyed, for non-white-male-non-straight non-Christians
AOC, Boutons, and RG painting with the oversized brush again.
"all Christians are either pedo-Catholics or racist Baptists".
Yet, I don't think any of you have besmirched Islam.
And RG with the "all religions are ignorant" take?
Does that include Buddhism?
I have yet to see any real evidence that persuades me a God exists.
I do see lots of evidence that religions, as man made constructs, are bad. Most sell you a snake oil for a problem they say you have, Islam included.
Buddhism is not something I have a particular opinion on. It makes some of the fewest claims about truth and faith, but still is used by asshats to do horrible things. Probably can do better without the spiritual claptrap.
Fair enough that you haven't seen evidence. That's where I'm at.
But you tend to say that all Christians are ignorant and cite religion but you never seem to include Muslims in that discussion. Much less Buddhists. Who I personally get a lot of things right. As well as the majority of Christians that I know.
I've yet to see any real evidence that human beings even agree on what GOD is.
Most religions have some idea they believe to be GOD - but no one really knows.
muslims/buddhists have very little if any say in american politics, governance, and policy-making
well yeah...not sure your point. RG often bashes religion (without regard to politics) but only targets Christianity.
If Christians are so smart, why did they vote for a pussy grabber, a whoring prick, why do evangelicals still support Trash at 80% level, why do they say God sent, annointed Trash to Make America Christian Only, etc, etc?
Muslims and Mormons don't bother me, I don't bother them, but ING Christians are pushing hard to force their stupid into public schools, into govt policy, with the goal of USA as Christian theocracy.
And I posted how the evangelicals are colluding with Russians.
Evangelicals vote overwhelmingly Repug, and Repugs, s to the oligarcy, are ing up America and the planet. WTF is wrong with so-called Christians?

This argument is so disingenuous. Islam is a re ed religion but it has virtually no influence in US law or politics. If it were millions of far right Muslims instead of millions of far right evangelicals trying to force their beliefs down America's throat, there would be plenty of people denouncing it, but that's not the case.
The notion that people who don't make make 1 comment about the dangers of Sharia law for every 1 comment they make about the dangers of America becoming a Christian theocracy are somehow sympathizing with Islam is nonsensical.
His point is that Christianity is the only religion with any influence over the politics, governance and policy-making of the country RG lives in, which is why you see RG talking about it significantly more than any other religion.
i think if the discussion is meant to relate to american politics, the others aren't really relevant.
though yeah i'd argue against theism of any variety. particularly ones with the more elaborate myths. but in the context of politics, i'm much more concerned with fundamentalist christian influences than sikh or buddhist legislation
Please...RG attacks it whether it has anything to do with politics or not.
The trend is exactly opposite what she is claiming. The US is becoming less of a Christian Theocracy not more. There may be some outliers like the Alabama idiots but it's nothing compared to 200 years ago, or even 50 years ago.
When, pray tell, do posts in a political forum have nothing to do with politics?
I agree with regards to this discussion. But in my defense, I rarely pay attention to what the thread is about. It's easier to just read the last few posts on their own.
Here? is you serious?
Maybe I missed it, but is she saying that the overall trend is towards a Christian theocracy? The tweets posted in this thread from her seem to just be targeting the Alabama idiots so to speak with no real commentary on the overall trend our country is going.
For the record, one of the ways the Dems can up 2020 is if they get sucked into another 2004-style abortion and gay marriage social issues debate, so I'm not a fan of her tweeting about this. Just not like I'm not a fan of the ridiculous "LGBT-focused" debate the Dems are going to have in October.
Most people I talk to here are Christians, so that is the easy explanation. I have read the Quran and some of the associated writings (Hadith the term if memory serves). Same bull brainwashing, IMO, more so.
Quite frankly the Muslim apologetics say almost identical things to that of Christian apologists. Same crappy arguments, different religions.
For that matter, I have talked religion with Hindus, and native americans. Mostly the same bad arguments for their dieties, although the various doctrinal stuff differs.
It all blends together. The more organized it is, the more obvious it is a scam, meant to control others and serve personal power.
Pretty much.
Tell that to the legislatures that open with prayers. Evangelicals are pushing all manner of boundaries and arguments to force their religion.
