    Why would Detroit want Jakob?

Poeltl was a #9 pick, fits the Spurs scheme well, and still has room to grow.

He will never be a star player, but he is a solid role-playing big.

Unless the Spurs think they can get another Kawhi at #15 that won't drop to #19, I don't see the point.

If it were for SA’s 2nd rounder + Poeltl I would do it for sure. But it depends on who is there, but if SA could keep 19 and 29 it’s a no brainer because you could for sure replace Poeltl with one of those picks while getting 15.

I guess it all depends on who is available at the 15th pick...if the spurs have someone high on their draft board that falls to 15 they might pull the trigger on that deal

personally i would rather keep poeltl and move one of our guards with #19

Neither trade is good tbh. I think Poeltl can be an above average starting center for the next decade moving him 29 for 15 is not really enticing unless the Spurs absolutely love someone who is projected to be gone before 19.

Trading 19 and 29 to move up 4 spots isn't good either. There are some interesting players available there.
    Completely agree.

I feel like people are a little to high on Jakob poeltl, he’s solid but he’s nothing special.

That's more like it. But even so, Poodle was a *9 pick, who has shown pretty steady improvement. Trading Poodle and a second rounder for #15 in this draft means that Poodle's value has depreciated, which I do not believe is the case. And I doubt they could draft anybody at 19 or 29 who could replace Poodle immediately. So, #15 would need to contribute pretty fast. Ultimately, I can't see PATFO wanting 3 first round picks.

I agree on solid but not special but, I don't expect the 15th pick in this draft to be special either. Does it have a chance to be special? Sure, but it has a chance to bust as well. Looking at the prospects on the board I'd rather just stick with 19 because I think that pick has the same special/bust odds as 15. If I could give 29 plus a smaller asset to move up 4 spots then ok but not a solid player like Jacob.

yeah I mean I agree on that too, but hypothetically and this is a big IF... say Nassir Little is available at the 15th pick we do this trade and grab him at 15, then at 19th pick we get Nicholas Claxton, Bruno, or Goga. I think you pull the trigger on that, you also have Nikola Milutinov as a backup center to replace Jakob if needed

Meh, I want Poeltl as our rim runner if, as it looks, we're gonna be a guard oriented team for the foreseeable future. The only player I would really want to trade up to get late in the lottery is Clarke if he's available.

The converse of this (selling high) would be sending Bryn back to Mochigan along with 29 for 15. His value will never be higher.

I'm not that high on Little but, the spurs might be. If the spurs see a guy they have as a cant miss guy that falls to 15 then they should pull the trigger on it and get him. I'm just speaking from 'my' perspective on how I see the guys in this draft because i only see 6 or 7 guys as cant miss special. They may see something different and if they do they should get him.

My first reaction was no, but then I remembered we have Milutinov waiting in the pipeline. That could make that trade stomachable for me if we could bring him over and get someone like a Little or Hachimura at #15.

    C - Aldridge, Milutinov
PF - Gay, Bertans, #19 (Samanic?)
SF - DeRozan, Little / Hachimura
    SG - White, Forbes, Bellinelli
    PG - Murray, Mills, Walker
You really do want us to suck.

    I'd be all over that.
