How much was Crabbe's salary? Could see Celtics offering 1 or 2 of its picks ...
Irrelevant for the Spurs because they can’t offer Boston the cap space they want. Crabbe was $18 mil and Brooklyn paid a premium, so perhaps Celtics would offer the 22nd pick, however knowing Ainge they’ll probably be demanding assets for the salary dump

I'd take Baynes as the 3rd big, but we don't have the cap space

Maybe some due diligence in case the Pelicans trade up to #2 for Barrett. Then again, it's the Knicks so who ing knows.

Paschall is a reach at 29.

Wow, based on the Five Thirty Big Board and Five Thirty Carmelo projections this is poor draft class.

I really hope that they grab Okeke with 29. Samanic would be fine, and Paschall would be helpful, but Okeke is the guy to get.

I hope they won't, but something like Beli and 19 for Crowder and 23 could end up being a decent deal, especially if the Spurs want Samanic. Luka is most likely to be there at both spots, while a bunch of the Spurs' other potential targets could already be gone by 19. Memphis needs a two-guard so they may well want to hop up and grab one before Boston's two later picks. This could satisfy TheGreatYacht too by potentially hurting the Spurs on the court, and we all know that's important.

Pretty sure that's what they're actually talking about. BM20 was making a joke. Certainly, if the team can move up somewhat painlessly, it makes sense to do so to lock in the guy they want. I'd really like for them to get in front of Brooklyn and GS.

Let's say it's player + 29 + whatever else for 20-23... they can't package the new 20-23 pick and the 19th pick to move up again right?

Sure. But I tend not to envy the Sixers' picks much. And they have no many needs that they likely aren't targeting the same guy as the Spurs anyway. Marks has shown to be pretty good at drafting so far, and GS seems like they could play the long game with Okeke. Actually, they already bought 41 from ATL, so I'm not sure what's going to happen with their first-rounder.

Sure they can. But likely they won't because they won't pull the trigger on your first trade until that pick comes up. If they traded say Bertans and 29 for Simmons and 24 right now, then they could trade 19 and 24 for 11. 12 or 13. It would just be a three-team trade like:

    Spurs: 12 and Simmons.

    Hornets: 19 and 24

    Philadelphia: 29 and Bertans

But I don't think the Spurs can wait until 29 to do all that, because too much will have to already have happened to make it work. At least the part with the Sixers has to be done sight unseen.
