Not saying he’s going back to Toronto but he lives in California. It’s the off-season. He can announce he’s returning to the Raptors without staying in Toronto. He doesn’t live in Toronto.

If you were planning to announce you're re-signing with the Raptors, I would think you'd do it in Toronto and then fly back home for the rest of your off-season. It doesn't look good at all. This bull if he signs with the Lakers. I actually preferred the Spurs would have gotten young players from the Lakers and some draft picks (didn't need as many as New Orleans got) rather than trading for Derozen. It's really ed up if Kawhi signs with them because then it would have all worked out perfectly for him. 1. He wins the Championship in Toronto 2. The Lakers get Davis which they wouldn't have been able to had the Spurs traded Kawhi there and 3. He get to go there anyway with an extra superstar added to the team - Pop didn't prevent him from going there at all.

I also thought he had more pride than this teaming up , but if so, then I guess the injury management is real big issue for him going forward. I would have had no problem had he have been sent to the Lakers before Lebron and AD got there. I also wouldn't have any any issue with it if he signs with the Clippers. I would really respect him compe ive nature if he were to sign with the Clippers or even back with the Raptors.

They are not going to hold a press conference. All you do is tell the media. There is no major media event or press conference being held. They can tweet their response from Paris if they feel like.

Just looking at the plane's past flight history, it takes about 4:20 to 4:30 to go from CYYZ to West Coast, and less time (~4:10) to come back to CYYZ. We can assume those flights had people.

He may be going to the Lakers, but Raptors obviously were still very much in play because he went there personally to have that meeting. All he had to do was say everybody comes to me in San Diego to make their pitch. He doesn’t have to go anywhere.
