The does that have to do with last season? As far as this season, is rather not have DeMar on the team at all and a ton of minutes for the young guys than the we're about to see next season
Our young players arent ready for prime time. They gain valuable experience when we make the playoffs.

Elite is around the top 20% in ANY CONTEXT? Really?

So a school like the University of Southern Mississippi is considered an elite university because it’s ranked in the top 20% of schools in the US?
I should have specified ''in any context of professional sport'', I thought it was obvious.

(BTW top 20% of Div.1 Universities are elite. They go to the Tournament)

But they call it the Elite Eight.

What does that even mean if everyone who lost was still elite?

    ???

So in your dictionary elite is the one who wins. There is one elite. OK. Whatever you say.

Actually I explicitly said there were eight in this particular case.

It's pretty comical those making Presti out to be a genius. Big picture he had three future MVPs at age ~22 with Finals experience and he somehow managed to ruin that. Now all he has left to show for that trio is the worst one of the bunch on a terrible contract with draft picks owed to him by elite teams.

    Genius

So... any chance we could trade the Raptors their beloved DeRozan back for some package including draft picks?

not to mention their dispute with harden was over something in the range of 4 mil per year, while at the same time they gave perkins 5/40

and they turned that into kevin martin and jeremy lamb

''But they call it the Elite Eight.

Seems pretty clear: when you wonder ''if everyone who lost was still elite''....you wonder how can be elite also who loses the semifinals and the final. It is called logic, taught even in bottom colleges, actually. No need for elite education for that.

Besides, Elite Eight is just a moniker, as is Sweet Sixteen (but you can examine the real meaning of sweet sixteen, if you please)

I was actually just kidding with my example since there are no numbers in any definition of the word, but you actually said 1=8.

    Where did you learn that?

I never bought myself the Presti hype. He drafts well, and the George signing was unexpected so kudos to him for that. All that said, they have nothing to show for drafting the 3 stars plus Adams.

But nobody wants to live in OKC.

Raptors got a ring but ultimatley Kawhi and Green ended up being rentals. I suppose it was worth it for the Raptors.

Been saying it since day one, never bet against Jerry West. Uncle ultimately did his thing and Kawhitter remains just that. Spurs were right all along and i never had any doubt about it.

At people rushing to give West credit. Sure, he had a hand in the greater plan to re-load dating back to the Griffin trade, but ultimately all the Clippers savvy work doesn't matter if they're not located where they are (throw the Nets in too) and a certain S bag isn't desperate to play in said location, in a situation where he can receive the majority of the credit.

On various fronts. Not just the timing, plus the George angle, but also because it would have been typical Spurs luck for him to re-sign. Now, they're at least vindicated . . . even though it won't be portrayed that way in the media. Nonetheless, it just wasn't right for a team to stumble into the kind of luck the Raptors did and continue benefitting from it.

the only thing the spurs did was stop kawhi and pg13 playing together a few years ago if the trade didnt go down, then the spurs be less 1 ring, let alone contenders

Yeah, I remember, but if you told me we'd get DeRozan, I would have preferred to trade with the Clippers and get their 2 draft picks. Who knows, if the Spurs negotiated harder with them, they may have gotten more than 2 first round draft picks. Maybe they did, I don't know.
This can never be proven or disproven, but as stated many times, they didn’t want to trade him to the West. In addition, after he essentially stole $19M from the Spurs, I think they wanted to him over by denying him Bird rights, and costing him $40M.

I wonder if now that he has his contract if he will miss as many games due to load management?

He’ll be gunning for MVP to cement his legacy, so he needs to put in enough games imo

Yup lots of Toronto fans pissed off saying Skip was right the whole time. Talking to Kawhi's sister on IG lol

Also on Twitter they're upset. You get a couple that are ok but I've seen for the most part they are pissed.

Good. He's a snake. Hope he gets booed.
Pathetic. Dumbasses knew going in he was likely one year rental and wanted to go back home to la. They got their championship. Everyone else just ing for the sake of ing.

Stop already... At this point ur trying to fool urselves... The guy was clearly hurt... This happened in the second round... He could have EASILY sat out... It's not like he got hurt in the finals
Lol. He limped on two different legs. And only when it looked like he might need an excuse to quit.

Not his fault OKC's ownership didn't want/couldn't afford to dip into the luxury tax. PJ Carlesimo, Scott Brooks and Billy Donovan haven't been impressive coaching hires though.
