Its a troll posing as one. Likely an alt account by one of the idiots here
Half truth. I actually stopped posting with my original account because I stupidly used the same username that matched my Twitter and Facebook accounts at the time.

So which Morris is this one? Which ones perceived to be better? Spurs going to roll with odd lineups. Needed to move Patty, Belli and Forbes in my opinion.

With Carroll and Morris, are we possibly the team best equipped to match up defensively against either LA team? At least in the West? Not that many 3-D guys out there that can guard 3s and 4s and we just got two of them

DeMarcus Cousins is not a top tier player. I also would have taken Danny Green back for the MLE. Don't the Spurs have the room exception that they could have blown on Morris?

Ahhhh… so this is really a tantrum about the Spurs not signing Cousins. I get it now.

The Room Exception is only for teams that have gone under the cap and used cap room to sign a player. Morris was never going to play for that (less than) $5M, even if the Spurs had it. Danny was never going to sign for the MLE, even if he would have considered coming back here. And Cousins was out begging friends to help him land a job for cheap, which should tell you all you need to know.

Usually I have to go to HoopHype for analysis of your caliber.

I firmly belive with this squad were can do damage in the playoffs. My bar is chip every year I also understand what the spurs have done in the last 30-35 years also. Theses are spurs moves, same moves different years diffrent names. Are there holes on the squad yes do we have needs you bet can we compete absulutly. Still have trade assests and a buy out market. GO SPURS GO!!!

It appears as if the Celtics had to renounce Morris to sign Kemba, etc. So, no.

Hopefully this adds some toughness to the team which I think the Spurs are in desperate need of. Also, it allows White and Murray to concentrate on defending an opposing team's backcourt. Excited for the upcoming season and look forward to seeing Pop make it all mesh.

Definitely an upgrade over the latter however, Marcus is not a good defender and I'm not sure about Caroll. Marcus is a little more versatile than Bertans but not as good at sticking the three. He should help with that mid range game though as if the Spurs needed more mid-range shooters.

I think I saw he had a player option for year two which is always a bad idea. If he has a good year, he'll probably opt out and if he has a bad year, he'll surely opt in. Not sure why the Spurs have to resort to these kinds of Shenanigans in order to sign players.

I have little doubt the Celtics would have kept Morris if they could.

He's a good example of a guy who has continued to improve. At the beginning of their careers, everyone said Keef was much better. Not so much now.

He's a good 3P shooter, not a specialist/sharpshooter, but more than enough to force defenses to honor it. He's a solid defender, night in and night out - again, maybe not a specialist, but solid. A lot of his career he's split time between SF and PF. In the last few years he was a full time SF in Detroit, and a full time PF in Boston. He's played some small ball C. And he definitely brings toughness that the Spurs seem to be chronically short of. He can create his own shot - less than half his FGA's are assisted. He's not foul prone or a turnover machine.

I know people love to , but damn. For the MLE, in this market, he's a of an addition.
By the numbers, he has potential. I know I'm not overly excited though.

Don't know who remembershe this, but when Kawhi played against him when he was in Phoenix, Morris really got into, and bothered Kawhi.

I perfectly understand that Kawhi has grown as a player since, but since the best defender in the Western Conference defending Kawhi is already a Clipper now, Morris is one of the better options available.

Not a bad pick up at all from that standpoint.

He's 412th in DRPM with a -1.17. Is Spurstalk getting stupider by the minute or is it just my imagination?

Hes widely regarded as good defensively, but hey you do you.

    Bertans > Carrol
But I'm ok with it if we bring back Bertans next summer

All Bertans does is shoot threes. Fail.

Nat McMillan must be using the blindfold test. He's 412th in DRPM with a -1.17.

Thibbs once said Belinelli was underrated defender and two days later, RC signed him off the scrap heap.
Mans he went on to be an integral part of a championship team. Brilliant.
