A player on a one year contract essentially has a no trade clause. They can't send him anywhere he doesn't want to go.
Lamond Murray was bad. But, yeah, this would be worse.

I thought he had a player option though? He could still become a free agent and have some of that money made up with the lack of state income taxes eating into it. Hebcould also earn more by playing a big role on a WC team.

I read that he could qualify for a bigger payout next year if his salary was $15 million this year. I'm not exactly sure why, by the Ms definitely favor signing the bigger deal with New York

Lol @ thinking the NBA and Silver are doing anything. All those times Draymond avoided suspensions in the playoffs should have been telling. And to think people hated David Stern during his time. Silver killed the NBA allowing all this but hey it pleases the dumb casual fans and makes the big bucks.
Isn't this the kind of thing that the Commission should step in? I doubt much can be done about Morris/Klutch, but the Knicks behavior is pretty horrible, too, isn't it?
Gonna be damn awkward if he ends up signing with the Spurs after all. You can't leave something like this unaddressed, but what is he going to do to try and save face?
