Meh...if you've ever spent any significant time in New York you might choose San Antonio as a home destination. And the Knicks will continue to suck ass for a while, so wanting to play for that crappy organization over the Spurs is a questionable choice. This was a pure money grab, plain and simple. I wouldn't be surprised if Klutch took a little gratification from sticking it to Pop a bit as well.

I know...this offseason went from hype to pretty ho-hum real quick.

The Caroll signing is still a nice get, but if we miss out on Morris, lose Bertans for nothing, and end up with FA scraps for the MLE, it's gonna be a damn shame.

At this point, if Morris bolts, the FO should just hold onto the MLE and wait for the buyout market.

I thought that was what they were going to do anyway - before the FA period started. Before the season, everyone is the most optimistic. Wait for the deadline, when people are cutting losses, and they'll be more likely to get a better value.

Mostly the people that were available were either out of the Spurs' price range, or not exciting enough to outweigh giving minutes to some of their young guys.
