To be fair, he could've easily lied about that in order deflect the blame he knew would come Trump's way. And all of this "pondering" about who, what, when politics and people he was influenced by is why discussing it is a dead end. I prefer the more efficient pondering of just calling these people sick s doing sick things. And yes, white nationalism is a sick ideology. But I agree. Trump's feet should be held to the fire for his irresponsible, divisive, and inflammatory rhetoric throughout his presidency. But we can't prove blame. Ultimately, Trump did not pull the trigger. He is a profound piece of , but we can never know how much influence Trump really had on the shooter. Blame Trump for his words in a vacuum.
