They changed the whole city over to the plastic cans where the truck drives up to the can, they punch a button and hydraulic arms grab the can, dumps it, and puts the can back down. I'm cool with that. Should be labor saving, right?

People make millions off of city contracts for projects that go nowhere, but you're worried that we San Antonio might be paying one too many minimum wage garbage collectors on their traffic routes.

One efficiency improvement in residential neighborhoods would be to ask everybody to put their garbage bins on one side the road, so the truck could make one pass rather than two. The lawyers would probably block it due to the liability of asking people to cross the road, get hit by a car, fall down, etc. Fatass, lazy, stupid Americans must be pampered and treated like idiots.
