The fact that Sony Michel is incapable of catching a dumpoff in the flat really kills this team’s versatility. It’s why they have to play Brkhead, because the defense immediately knows Michel = run and White = pass.

That coupled with no tight end pass catching to speak of and Phillip ing Dorsett being one of their top pass catchers

Hopefully Harry is a threat when he comes back, I still don’t get why they put him on IR for a sprained ankle.

So far, it looks like Bill whiffed on two straight 1st round skill position players. Michel doesn’t count as a success when literally all he’s done well is run through giant holes. Can’t catch, doesn’t make people miss, and not even that great at fighting for extra yards.

Yeah Michel was an awful pick. You could get a comparable running back in the 3rd/4th round who probably isn’t as ty of a pass catcher as he is. Using 1st round picks on running backs is stupid regardless, it’s especially stupid when the RB you’re drafting doesn’t do anything other than run downhill somewhat decently.

I agree 100 percent with this post. I guess Belichick just wanted 5 years of cheap control instead of 4, because he's unlikely to get a second Patriots contract. The Pats had plenty of wiggle room but why not draft one of the pass rushers left on the board instead? TJ Watt was on the board IIRC.
