So you didn't read the article. Good talk man. About as good as last year when you tried to tell me Gillum got less votes than Bill Nelson because he was a better candidate
Some of those rose Twitter people are against people eating hamburgers now lmao.

I don’t give a about your article.
Nice topic change though, Claire. Feel free to point out where I actually said that.
First off who's Claire? Second off its my topic. And the topic is progressives flipped zero seats in 2018. Zero. Candidates supported by one specific moderate group flipped 23 of the 29 seats flipped. Then you said that this is somehow yet another victory for progressives and I was accused of changing the topic.
Nancey and the Dem establishment would rather lose to trump again rather than win with the progressive candidate
Nancy thought the electorate wanted Shillary too... These old dinosaurs need to make way for the younger generation of great political attention whoring, like AOC, etc
What was the name of the group?
The 23 of 29 is mentioned in that earlier article Will won't read
That’s not what the article says though. It says the group endorsed 23 candidates of the 29 seats the Dems won at that point (not all of them flips either).
It doesn’t make your point moot though, but this house caucus is clearly the most liberal in a while.
If anything, the more left leaning members have been replacing Dem in bents
Sure, in places like here and California. Some in your state too.
Pelosi is not wrong here. More so when speaking about Bernie I feel though. Warren has slightly moved away from what one would consider far left.
Dems will always lose with some no matter what though. Buttiegieg is surging for instance but in a head to head with Trump he would get beat in my opinion just based on the fact he's gay.
Half the country wouldn't vote for him if he was on fire cuz of muh religion!!!
IMO, whoever the nominee is they'll have to compromise with a moderate/progressive on the ticket. If you go proggresive/progressive, you ain't winning.
I already pointed out that Bernie, IMO, is the only guy that couldn’t/wouldn’t veer to the center. Warren can, I think, but maybe not to the extent some people like/would accept.
Conversely, guys like Biden talking about liberal policies come across as complete phonies, and Dems need to drive the vote on their base if they want to win. As seen with Shillary, that’s not automatic.
I never did understand why (was it) WH who thought that the bigger difference between DeSantis (an unabashed Trump supporter) and Gillum (a progressive) vs the smaller difference between Rick Scott (a sitting governor) and Bill Nelson (a moderate senator) was an indication that people were heading leftward (or something to that effect).
BTW, DeSantis enjoying a 72% approval rating.

I live in FL and DeSantis has dropped the Trumpian "trigger the lib s" schtick he used to win the election and governed as more of a classier guy so thats somewhat good. Adding all those fees and obstacles to the bill that passed allowing felons to vote that him and Republicans did to over the voters who passed that bill was a piece of move though
1. Is the rest of the world as expensive when it comes to education as the US? And do they have they to study so long in order to practice (doctorate for physical therapy, pharmacy, etc)?
2. Is the rest of the world as litigious as the US (raises costs of practicing)?
3. Do the other countries develop as many drugs, medical devices, etc as the US? Or do they just copy ours?
How do you propose to bring down costs (given the above)?
1. Are you going to tell US doctors, therapists, PAs, nurses that they must now accept what a prac ioner in the UK is paid (especially in light of $15 minimum wage)? Do you think it is fair for say a pediatric neurosurgeon (like Ben Carson) who has to do 4 years undergrad, 4 years medical school, 3 years each in pediatrics, neurology and surgery to earn an average of $148,763 (UK)? Are you going to forgive the thousands of dollars in college debt too? Are you going to lower the standards (years of education) to help cut costs?
2. Are you going to stop the lawyers from suing doctors, hospitals, etc?
3. How do you encourage research into new drugs and medical supplies if we charge what other countries charge for the same?
Good luck trying to change all that - you would have to re-structure/adjust the pay of every other profession to satisfy all the health and its supporting industries (in relationship to each other) - they are not going to accept the peanuts in pay and debt that goes along with so much study in relation to other professions and $15 minimum wage for unskilled labor.
I, too, live in Florida and the people who write these ballot propositions ought to be more careful in the wording:
No. 4 Cons utional Amendment Article VI, Section 4. Voting Restoration Amendment This amendment restores the voting rights of Floridians with felony convictions after they complete all terms of their sentence including parole or probation. The amendment would not apply to those convicted of murder or sexual offenses, who would continue to be permanently barred from voting unless the Governor and Cabinet vote to restore their voting rights on a case by case basis.
So the question really is: Is the fee part of their sentence?
Similarly, here in Miami-Dade County, there was the question:
Shall the School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, levy 0.75 mills of ad valorem taxes for operational funds (1) to improve compensation for high quality teachers and instructional personnel, and (2) to increase school safety and security personnel, with oversight by a Citizen Advisory Committee, beginning July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2023?[2]
In the 2018 midterm elections, Miami-Dade voters approved a raise in their property taxes for teacher salary raises and school safety measures required in the law passed after the Parkland shooting last year. However, district officials have said they would not be sharing the salary portion — the majority of the funds — with charter schools.

About 20%? of students in Miami-Dade go to charter school and I suspect the parents of those charter schools students voted for this thinking it would benefit their children - most parents see charter schools as part of the Miami Dade public school in the sense that they don't pay for tuition (as opposed to private schools).

I agree that DeSantis has since dropped the closeness to Trump and is talking the climate change stuff for the state - partly responsible for the high approval rating (some Dems) but before and at the time of the election, he was heavily into Trump (Trump bedtime stories to his kids/building the Wall/MAGA) and imo, it's Trump that won him that election.
Ron DeSantis is another Zionist shill who is an Israel First, America Last traitor, that is why Trump was campaigning hard for him.
Ron DeSantis BARELY defeated a fake progressive in Andrew Gillum (Beto 2.0) yet we have idiots on this thread who think that going more left and progressive is not a formula for winning
You guys can jerk each other off but truth is that centrist neoliberals like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are a cancer to the Democrats. All them old s should move to the Republican party and join the neocons in their corporatist agenda of destroying America and putting Israel first.
So why was the vote difference between Trumpster DeSantis and Progressive Gillum LARGER than between Scott and moderate Dem Nelson if you think that going more left and progressive is the formula for winning?
Nancy Pelosi Shows The Left Her Middle Finger For 2020
Pelosi put the call in. Now several agencies are unified against Pootin and David Dennison's dirty tricks. A thread:
Trump is right, all these intelligence agencies are wrong.![]()
So at the same time as your concern about costs, you think we should give tuition refunds to everyone who ever went to college.
We shouldn't have abolished slavery. What about all those slaves that had already achieved their emancipation?
In the world of getting over yourself and just doing what is in the best interest of society you just do what's right.
No, they are on the right track.
Shhhhhh
