Well I was on my way to school but I had to take the bus, while I was sitting down there, this awfully obvious Mexican-American girl(quite hot) was talking to the black lady driver, as their conversation wen't on I noticed a funny pattern, while talking to the black lady the Mexican-American was trying to fit in so bad that she tried to speak very black-ish(not being racist) why do people change their tunes when they meet different races?

The last post I saw on here was on page 4 (I think) about FkLA hauling the bar across the border and subsequently raising said bar. In doing so, he figuratively put the entire Mexican race on his back, doe. I went back and did some catching up, and I must say I'm glad we've all been able to come together and discuss the beauty of our differences.

Well, I actually have an Italian heritage (had Italian citizenship before American), and actually live in the Jersey Shore ()... your typical guido here speaks English, retains some Italian cultural things, but overall they're proud Americans.

They're also don't forget where they come from, but that's where it ends.

As a former non-mexican-Latino, that's something I never understood about Mexicans... the whole 'La Raza' pride... I mean, logically speaking, you left your country because it ing sucks... why would you want to turn this country into the same hole you left? DoK is spot on about Latin-American countries... they're full of corruption and incompetence.. why in the world would you want to transplant that here?

You see it as fitting in, I see it as embracing the place that I now call home, tbh... I don't really understand why the reluctance when you've been here for so long (I've permanently moved in '99, so you've been here longer than I have).

Again, not pretending to understand why it happens, but I definitely see that it does, especially with Mexicans. Love is ok, but the full blown la raza pride is completely different story.

Immigrant on immigrant crime. ElNono dropping a twosie right on FkLA's forehead. People who have sacrificed and put in the time and the work to become an American citizen usually value their citizenship more than most Americans. That's something I have a lot of respect for. And people like Nono are the ones who have made the US a great nation. The only real problem I see is that he's an unabashed Manu fan unwilling to accept the reality of what Manu has become. He's also probably a fan of that Carlos Delfino.



As far as I'm concerned, the biggest problem I have is not with the people who come here illegally to provide their families with better opportunities. I think if I were in that situation, and if there were no way to get my family to the US legally, I'd probably try to get them out of Mexico whatever way I could. Desperate people do desperate things, especially when it comes to protecting their family. I'm not going to try to pretend that I understand what it's like to be in that position.

The biggest problem I have is that the non-troublemakers (legal and illegal) who are here to work hard and contribute positively, don't speak out against the troublemakers. All these worthless ass Mexicans committing crimes and contributing nothing to society are ruining it for all the Mexicans, even the ones who are trying to do things the right way. But even still, none of them want to speak out for fear of being labeled a "traitor" to La Raza. George Lopez is a good example. They continue to elect politicians who come off as immigration-friendly. They don't realize that illegal immigration wouldn't even be an issue if they were all coming over here to be engineers and doctors.

When you add all the fees, taxes (obviously), days off work for fingerprinting, interviews, paperwork, etc... you're looking at well over $10K over a 7-10 year period... and you go through that entire process without knowing , or if some will wake up with the wrong foot and screw you over. It's tough. I could've still headed to Europe if things didn't work out, but once you're married and you're running a business, etc, it's tough as . People that didn't go through it don't understand, IMO.

It should just be easier for those that do it right, that's all I'm saying.

to them mexican immigrants, and immigrants from other countries as well, america is just something like the luxurious house of a rich friend's. you really enjoy being there & partying with your friends, but you know that's not your home and never will be, and you'll be gone when the whole place is trashed up. if god tells you that a big fire will inevitably burst out either in your austere home or the opulent one that your friend owns, you would for sure rather see your friend's home being destroyed rather than yours.
