I agree to an extent with the tax cuts. But even with that, 11.9% poverty for a state that doesn't have much of an economy compared to most states and that 11.9% poverty rate isn't even bottom half of poverty rates. So, while it failed a bit, their motive was intended to help people. And it hasn't crippled the state in the sense that a lot of people are making it out to.
Now, compared to California, our politicians pass laws and measures because, like with the tax cuts, are designed to help people, California has the resources and finances to help the problems of crime, homelessness and poverty, but dont. The minimum wage increase forced 250k jobs minimum over state borders and they do nothing, absolutely NOTHING to help with housing and now that the little cities that are completely forgotten and ignored by CA politicians are standing their ground against the bully metro areas, the public is seeing how much a mess this place is.
Here's the thing with California Democrats and why their the worst bunch of politicians on the planet- their bigger thieves overall than the got in office. But their career politicians, so they can rob us and keep a smile on their face while they do it. Tens of billions into a train system where nothing physical or tangible really exists, they're going to divert all the farmland water down south and into the ocean, as they've done the last four years while farmers struggle and who needs food anyways, right?
This place is worse than Kansas unless you're a politician or rich. But, they can go to the media and boast their state economy and surplus...you're going to have that when you're literally killing your middle class.
