Another quick update on WR Dorial Green-Beckham...coaches from Mizzou, OU and possibly Arkansas will be in St. Louis this evening to watch him play in his basketball tournament. Texas plans on being there tomorrow.
Wow. The last article I read said he would apply, but I'm happy to see he's that kind of person. I can see why peope love him so much. Steele is in good hands.

Javonte Magee has committed to Baylor, he was just given a 5th star by rivals considering his play in The Army all American game. What ever happened to the recruitment of Javonte? I really liked his size, athleticism and play!
Good catch Floss, I read about that but I had forgotten. Hughes and James are so tight, I can't see this going any other way than James to Texas.
Magee is a uva get for Baylor. He allegedly has grade issues, but Briles can certainly get him in. Who hasn't Briles been able to get in? Yesh.
Update from TE Blaine Irby's Facebook page. Sounds like a wise decision on his part to retire:
"Had knee surgery yesterday morning on my left knee (not the famous one). It was suppose to be a standard scope, only 30 minute procedure, be on crutches for 1-2 days, just a little clean up. But while in surgery they realized that my knee was a little more messed up than they had expected. The doctor had to perform a micro fracture on my bone to help repair my articular cartilage. So this means that I will be on crutches for 6 weeks now. Pretty disappointed, but better now than later. Holler at my if you have any questions."
I wish Irby nothing but the best. Texas couldn't have possibly asked for more from him this season. I'm happy that he went out on a high note and had a few spotlight moments. Irby's highlights from this season far overshadow the video of his injury.
I've mentioned before I'm not a graduate of UT -- I went to UIW -- but my wife is a UT grad and we have season tickets. I was a t-shirt fan before and even more so now. I give zero x 100 s aswell!![]()
QB Tyler Wilson to remain at Arkansas:

Per Hook 'Em 24/7, Mack Brown, Darrell Wyatt and Major Applewhite are doing a school and in-home visit with WR Marcus Johnson today.
Would have been the third QB taken in the draft. Possibly a top 15 pick. Not wise.
This is interesting to say the least. In regards to how it would affect DGB, you would have to think he would consider the long term upside and potential with UT versus one year with an established quarterback.
Looks like my bro's HS very good friend Nick Foles might be up in the rankings.
I believe that its always wise to stay in college when a player is not NFL ready, he is not.
Bummer
Dave Campo has been hired as the defensive coordinator at Kansas:

It's like watching a train wreck unfold right before it happens.
Add Lawton, OK DE D.J. Ward to the maybe list. Top player in Oklahoma, and the highest rated DE in the Southwest.

Here's his profile as well. Still waiting to see if 2013 DE Marcus Farria of Arizona will get a call.

Add 2013 WR Ra'Shaad Samples of Dallas Skyline to the first Junior Day list, per Inside Texas. I expect him to get offered along with Oliver. Glad to see he decided to come despite the issues with other Skyline kids right now.

**We'll say from now on that anyone highlighted in red has an invite but is currently unconfirmed to attend the first Junior Day.
Per Hook 'Em 24/7, Mack Brown also did a school and in-home visit with OL Kennedy Estelle today. He's expected to visit QB Jalen Overstreet and ATH Kendall Sanders at some point next week now that the dead period has ended.
I think Floss is going throw a boat parade down the Riverwalk if Texas offers Farria.

Anyone know if the Texas coaches showed up to watch DGBs basketball game???
You guys can add RB Dontre Wilson to the list of Jr Day list.
Thanks, Mex. Unfortunately, I can't find anything that says he plans to attend even though I'm sure he will. Sucks that DeSoto's Claude Mathis has agreed to coach the RBs at the University of Houston.

Good quote from 2013 OL/DL Jake Raulerson via OrangeBloods:
"I'm only going to one junior day (Texas). People can read that however they like."
QB Darron Thomas of Oregon has decided to enter the NFL Draft.
