nah, just saw it on the ESPN website in the Sunday Dime
It had a little subsection with what i posted
I agree 100%. We should have a statistic of the last two minutes of the game and the fourth quarter in general. This will give us a better view of clutch players.

What he said ...
Kobe is like any hreat player Jeter, Brady no one is clutch everytime but if there is ONE guy you DON'T want taking that shot against your team late it's Kobe ...this seasons resume 6 of 10 or whatever i 'll take that ...
where is dirk on that list?
why is turtle jet on the list instead?
Kobe haters want to find anything to reduce his impact on the game.
Yes he misses some, but like many people have mentioned its that fearlessness to make mistakes that makes him so much greater than other players in the game.
5 seconds to go...no one else in this game (right now) who I would give the ball to for the game.
Missing 2 of 3 in clutch situations doesn't seem correct. Where is this from?
82games has a better definition of clutch. Less than 5 mins left and game within 5 points.
Kobe shoots a good percentage (46%) and scores the most points. Honestly, it's pretty close throughout the league. Most teams have someone that shoots 44-50% with the game on the line. Statistically Lebron or Melo are the best, but you need the whole picture to choose. Kobe is great at drawing fouls down the stretch and he makes them at a very high clip (92%). He has a lot of game winners too. Lebron has a lot of turnovers and melo/bron clank more FTs than Kobe in the clutch.Code:Production per 48 Minutes of Clutch Time Team Player Gm Min +/- +/- Fga Fg% 3pA 3p% Fta Ft% Pts Ast'd Reb Ast T/o Blk Stl LAL Bryant 41 142 100 +34 39.1 .457 10.1 .400 18.2 92% 56.7 15% 8.4 5.7 3.0 0.0 1.0 CLE James 31 111 103 +45 31.2 .556 8.2 .421 20.8 85% 55.9 20% 14.3 12.6 4.8 1.7 3.5 DEN Anthony 24 82 16 +9 26.9 .565 7.0 .583 24.0 82% 54.4 57% 7.6 2.9 1.2 0.0 1.2 MIA Wade 45 194 10 +2 32.7 .470 7.9 .281 22.3 73% 49.2 12% 5.4 9.4 4.2 4.9 3.0 NOH Paul 44 146 28 +9 28.7 .494 2.6 .375 17.5 90% 45.1 9% 6.3 10.5 4.6 0.3 4.3 NYK Robinson 36 112 -46 -20 28.7 .433 10.7 .200 18.4 95% 44.6 31% 5.1 3.4 2.1 0.0 0.4 POR Roy 39 170 -5 -1 27.9 .475 4.5 .188 16.1 91% 42.0 10% 7.9 6.2 2.5 0.8 1.7 DAL Nowitzki 43 156 53 +16 31.1 .406 7.1 .304 16.0 84% 40.9 41% 11.4 2.2 1.5 1.5 0.6 BOS Pierce 44 187 51 +13 23.4 .451 3.9 .467 19.0 85% 39.1 26% 5.9 6.2 4.1 0.0 1.3 LAC Randolph 17 93 7 +4 22.3 .605 3.1 .333 11.9 86% 38.3 42% 11.9 3.1 3.6 1.0 0.0 SAS Parker 41 208 47 +11 27.9 .512 2.1 .222 11.1 72% 37.1 25% 4.8 5.8 2.3 0.0 1.2 DAL Terry 39 129 48 +18 21.6 .552 5.6 .467 11.5 90% 36.9 43% 6.0 2.6 1.5 0.0 1.1
Don't really need numbers to tell you to give it to kobe though, just watch the games.
exactly. Ive seen Dirk come throught plenty of times in the last few minutes of the 4th (just like last night)...he might miss or not take the game winning shots but he puts his team in the position to keep the game close.
after watching the Magic-Lakers game today. This is why these 10 secs or less stats are meaningless. Kobe hits 2 clutch jumpers less the 30 seconds but misses the one less then 10 secs.
So in other words, he missed the one that mattered.
but made the ones to get him there
Kobe shot 3-9 in the last 4 minutes.
The rest of the Lakers went 3-4.
Yet it was Kobe who made the ones to get him there. If he hadn't chucked so many bad shots he probably would have been more efficient (or at the least the Lakers as a team would) and he wouldn't be "there" because probably it would be Orlando the ones desperate to hit 3 consecutive shots in the last 40 seconds.
Really, what's so difficult to understand about this?
So in other words, he missed the one that mattered.
Noooooooooooooooooo here comes all the in bump threads after a Lakers loss lmaooooooooooooooo keep it comin, its damn entertaining
