I don't really care... I just want them to win it.
Whoever deserves it. We'll see.
But we ARE winning it all this year.
I don't really care... I just want them to win it.
I want the championship winner to be the best team, and the MVP to be the best player on that team.
The NBA's "officiating" doesn't always really go down like that (example, last year game 7 finals).
And rings do?
In that case Havilcek (a first option type player) was the best perimeter player of his era over Jerry West and Oscar Robertson.
Rings are a team accomplishment. How you can't comprehend that is beyond me, but considering how much you fantasize about Kobe Bryant taking you to Colorado, I can somewhat understand. Delusions like that don't leave a lot of room for a logical mind to operate.
Havlicek is a great player, lol.
But his career is not divided in 2 like Bryant's. Again, for those with brains it's pretty obvious.
Bryant's role in 5 rings is greater than Duncan's role in 4
That's the equation psycho dimwit.
It doesn't matter. Should go the whoever deserves it.
6-24 chucker who disappeared in game 7
all time greats don't do that you stupid .
Meanwhile, Tim almost had a quadruple double in a game 7. How you can even compare these players is beyond me.
crofl people arguing with history2bs
lol Steve Blake has solid defensive fundamentals![]()
And about the op... who cares? Lets get the LOB then whoever gets it, gets it
No . Focus people! Stop ing around with these bull "what if" threads and Lock In. Wipe your noses and get it together!
Are you a in' idiot?
Do you realize that Hondo won les 13 years apart? During the 60s, he was very much the Bryant to Russell's O'Neal, and then in the 70s, the Celts became his team, which resulted in him winning his first Finals MVP. His career is very much split in two, just like Kobe's.
And yeah, Bryant's role was greater in all the championships he won. Let's neglect the fact that his stats are worse than Duncan's, he has less Finals MVPs, and had the best player in the league on his team during the 3 peat.
"There really isn’t any diplomatic way to this: Tim Duncan’s playoff performances essentially run circles over Kobe Bryant’s."

Spin that.
Ginobili was robbed in 2005. He was majorly responsible for the wins in games one and two, and then aside from the losses in games three, four and six, Robert Horry was the MVP of game five. Duncan was decent enough in game seven, but no way did that performance justify being deemed MVP of the series. Easy, lazy decision by the NBA.
Any Spurs fan knows that Ginobili was the true MVP of the 2005 finals. He could/should be awarded it if we win this year, but it'll just go to Duncan again.
Manu MVP 2011. He already deserves it in 2005.
I would prefer Bonner to win it. Spurstalk reaction would be epic.![]()
Duncan, absolutely. The only reason he didn't win it in 2007 is because we beat Cleveland so bad that we didn't need dominant games fom Tim. Yet Tim didn't care - he just wanted to win.
As opposed to Bryant, who was so terrified that Pau would win the MVP in last year's Finals that he chucked it up every time he touched it. Yet the league still gave him the MVP trophy, despite one of the worst - if not the worst - individual performaces in Finals history.
