The Grifting Old Party will have to live with the Trump Taint for the rest of my kids' lives, they have lost an entire generation. Doubling down on old white people is not a long term strategy for any national party.

Democrats are simply going to be favored to win the white house for the rest of my life, unless something changes. One or two more cycles will see Texas fully in play, and that will be the end of it.
Yeah I thought Texas was more distant than it actually is. Beto came within 2 points despite uneducated whites having much higher turnout than any other demographic, and even though I think Biden shouldn’t waste money there I think it’s in play.

imo the Dem candidate who would do best in a general election is Yang, but I don’t see him ever winning a primary.

Actually nevermind, if Trump wins we're going to be at 25% unemployment by 2024 with a median household income under $40k and tens of millions of homeless people living in modern day Hoovervilles. There would be an unimaginable amount of infighting in that scenario.
He'll just fix the election and win with 80% of the vote

It took less than two years before everyone forgot Bush and put the GOP back in power in the house in 2010. There will always be a compe ive GOP.

Cruz is deeply unpopular, so his squeeker was to be expected.

    Texas 2016:
    Clinton: 3,877,868 43.24%
    Trump: 4,685,047 52.23%

A wave election that is moving the dial 5-10%, puts Texas in play at the upper end of that scale. 800k Votes is a lot to move that by though.

Still, tick tock. I am mindful of the kids in my wifes classes... they are PISSED, and it jibes with what my own High schooler reports in his classes.

Don't mean because these kids won't vote in any numbers, but you can't have the steady democraphic drip drip drip forever and NOT flip the state.

The net migration is probably accelerating that trend. Rest of the country is not as red as Texas historically, so even a mild tilt will accelerate taht over a decade or so.

I still think long term the only way to kill the GOP (or make it radically change) is run on a progressive platform. It’s pretty obvious now that when it’s in power, the post-Reagan GOP leading us into a deep recession isinevitable. At some point even the rube voters will say it I’ve been told my whole life that single payer healthcare is evil but I’ll take it over feudalism. Right now the problem is that Republicans set the tone for everything and the Dems don’t have a clear iden y.

And now Biden’s campaign has been infiltrated by so many ex GWB administration members that no one wants to use the obvious talking point “GHWB led us into a recession, GWB led us into a worse recession, then Trump led us into an even worse recession. Stop voting Republican if you want a good economy.”

I'd love to be wrong but I expect the Presidential vote in Texas to be closer to the Abbott vs whatsername vote than Cruz vs O'Rourke.

"Maximum pressure" hastened uranium enrichment, and bailing on the JPCOA removed US leverage.

    Great work guys!

We had it ed 100%...and let the Shah fall. That was it, but that ain't all, not by a jugful it ain't. Iran is a far a shy not done with us, by God & D.C., knows it. We piss & moan about Putin and the slopes, but that's just for public consumption and cutesy purposes. Iran is lethal & reckless, a morbid combination, children.

Iran has enough conventional firepower to incinerate not only Israel but all US assets in the vicinity

Even after a nuke strike and Tehran a smoking crater, they should have enough silos deep in their mountains to be able to strike back and turn Israel back to AD 1

People dont realize Iran is a massive country 2 and 1/2 times size of Afghanistan and with much bigger mountains.

Maybe a massive 1st nuclear strike would be only chance Israel/US have. But then all bets are off as Russia would retaliate immediately.
