"States Rights" is about the Cons utional balance of powers between the States and the Federal Government within this Nation.
If you break yourself off from this nation, you are no longer part of this nation. "States", "Rights" and "Cons ution" are then rendered meaningless.

Considering "aid and comfort to the enemy" has been dumbed down by Republicans to "anything that would make al-Qaeda smile", the definition of treason still would hold because al-Qaeda would jump for joy seeing America broken apart by seceding States.
Unless things changed, USA Today is probably the most neutral paper in print with a large circulation.

The way demonrats gave aid and comfort was through saying we were losing, and other words that effectively increased the enemies moral. It was completely uncalled for. Our news reports inspired by democrat political figures focused so much on leaving because of the deaths we incurred that they would step up the violence. Unknown extra soldiers have died because of the anti-American rhetoric spewed by demonrats.

Not that I defend the incursion into Iraq, but Clinton's incursions into Somalia and Bosnia were unnecessary either.
