I just want to see how this team performs when EVERYONE is healthy. I refuse to make any kind of premature declarations of any kind since I'm not a fan of anything premature except for premie babies, since I was one...but that's the lone exception.
When healthy, then I hope to see more balance and cohesion. It seems as if Pop's offensive team has lulls and his defensive team isn't. That's a crappy combo and despite that this team is still top 4 in the West even with the loss.

At this point of the season they are not a good team. They've shown flashes, but they struggle more than what we are used to seeing. And Tim's numbers may be good but let's face it the guy is not the same monster he was even 2 years ago. Start looking at his feet and how off balance he looks especially agianst smaller quicker opponents who can move with him. Tim's footwork was a thing of beauty, he looks awkward and he takes too many off balance shots where he doesn't have his feet under him. The old Tim would have dominated any guy on that roster. Remember the days when Boozer would get ofers against Tim, and Tim would easily get double doubles he can't anymore, he will have a good game once in a while and he'll score but once they body him and get physical he struggles. Sean was raving on Tony tonight but the truth is that Tony stymies the offense, and Manu still plays hard but after the half he's done, and that's been like that now for most of the season. Even Blair, man I love the guy but when is he going to finish a layup, he would be averaging 10 pts. a game if he could hit his layups. Dice and RJ are just there, I'd rather have Bogans, Mason and Bonner than those guys. I do't care how much money Jefferson makes Pop needs to sit him and dyess down and let the guys who want to play play.

Until Duncan retires, the Spurs dynasty is not over.
Exactly my thought. We still have a shot. This is the time when Pop will be a lot harder on the guys and push them even harder. Let's hope we pull thru on the second half of the season.

I just want to see how this team performs when EVERYONE is healthy.
Doesn't Tony's plantar fasciitis guarantee that he won't EVER be healthy this season, and will only heal up with months of rest and treatment over an offseason?

If so, no one will ever see how this team performs because it will never be healthy.

Wow, a loss to Houston makes y'all break out the Paxil?

Calm down, Houston is a decent team with excellent PGs that can give alot of teams fits and it's only the first half of the season......alot can change from now until the playoffs start. By then hopefully your team will be gelled. Calm down the season is not over.
Damn, the overreacting jeeezzzz. And the worst thing is, a houston fan has to tell that to you?

    CALM DOWN, it isnt over

They always play better come playoffs. I don't know how far they will get this season but they will compete for the NBA le if healthy. The dynasty isn't over yet, they still have Pop, Duncan, Ginobili and Parker, will perhaps win 50 games, plus they are experienced enough to win another championship, but they may be a huge trade shy of it since this team seems to be missing something. I bet the Spurs organization regrets that Scola trade now which I never understood since having a player like that next to Duncan would help this team out.

Actually, if the Spurs' run on championships is over, I think you can peg 2007 as the end of the run, maybe 2008 since SAS at least got to the Western Conference Finals.

Getting bounced out of the first round 4-1 by Dallas is not Dynasty-defining, so I definitely wouldn't consider 2009 as part of the Spurs dynasty.
2008 it was over, last year was not part of that DYNASTY RUN! THE WCF in 08 it ended, still a great LONG RUN!
Agreed. If this is indeed the end, then 0:00 of the fourth quarter of Game 5 WCF was the moment where it happened.

    This

I didn't think the spurs would win a le this year or even last year but I don't think the spurs are done just yet. I am hoping they'll win a le in the next 2 years but it won't be with our current roster. Something major has to happen

You can't win them all. On any given night, half of all NBA teams that play will lose.

Spurs win like dozen in a row, including against the Lakers . . . OMG we're back!

Spurs lose a couple games . . . OMG the dynasty is over.

    Chill the out.

add to mix. plan the parade.

    we can hope can't we?

    Spurs fan. Don't despair.

This Rockets team can beat ANY team in this league. This is pretty much the same team that took L.A. to 7 games. I don't get why you guys are throwing the the towel just yet. You've got arguablly one the top 3 coaches in the league.

Yeah, as of late, there seems to be no method to Pop's madness but surely he's not throwing in the towel. Relief may be on the way before the trade deadline but even if it doesn't this Spurs team can make some noise.

You beat the Lakers (I know without Pau and Kobe) and were right in it with the Celtics a month ago.

    Hold on.

Only homers were thinking Spurs were back, some even still LOL. However there were some of us that were using their brains and saw Spurs record as fools gold.

This team has yet to improve on anything since day one.

While the RJ gamble isn't paying off like it should have, you have to give it to this FO for making the right choice more often than not.

I don't know if a trade right now or in the off-season will keep this team contending, or what they have to do in the draft or if Splitter is the answer to the front-court defensive problems...but I do trust the FO to figure it out.

Even if this squad is the one the Spurs take into the playoffs, I'm STILL not going to give up on them.

    Believe.

I for one will support the Spurs until the final buzzer and beyond win or lose. However it would be ignorant for me to think the Spurs are currently champion contenders without any fixes.

I'll always love the Spurs organization, but that does not mean I can't be disappointed in them.
