Hes too much of a head case. I bet he has more upside than Dwight Howard but with his at ude I don't want him on this team.
Or you get an soft/slow but inteligent and coachable europussie or you get an athletic north-american headcase with low iq bball. You cannot have something that doesn't exist.

No big badass 7 footers will be available in the draft after like the 12th pick. They're always gone by then even if they only have average upside.

I'm not even sure how the Spurs could trade up in the draft to get a high enough pick to land one unless they're dumping, Parker, Duncan, or Leonard which would be re ed.

I admit I've been hard on Gary Neal and after his NBA Finals performance, his stock has never been higher. I'd love for the Spurs to keep him. However, in order to restock the cupboard, some bold moves must be made.
Good post. How would a trade with Neal work? I thought his contract is up at the end of the season. Is he an RFA?

We have yet to have a big euro center/pf that can consistently bully the paint.
    He's a euro now?

Idk man, I dont see it as an international v US born thing so much as modern players seem en led and have lofty expectations that are unsupported by their track records. Things changed in that direction the day of the 2003 draft.

i like baynes. i'm down to see him get some real rotation next season. i think splitter has improved a lot, i don't see why he would stop improving. timmy is timmy. that's pretty good base. turd towers are the weak link.

i wouldn't mind the spurs pulling off muscala or olynyk to replace bonner, , they could keep neal for floor spreading. and draft a freak like gobert or mbakwe. i think that's enough big man depth right there. add in davies, southerland, or thomas looking to be available at the #58 for blair replacement. that's plenty big, international or american. i don't care.
playblair that carmichael dunk is so incredible!
