He's only been getting about 2 open 3s per game IMO, but he's missing them..the offense is still pretty disorganized, so far, they're winning strictly on top-heavy talent..it's pretty clunky, so far..

The lack of shooting hurts, though, especially when Green is missing..without Beli, the Spurs always need one of Green or Mills to get hot to blow a game wide open..

As we have seen for years, Green's shooting is generally the biggest difference in a 7-point win vs. a 17-point win..

Id say his offense is crucial for winning any game.

Yeah thats a nice number but it didnt work out in 2013 and 2015.
Besides he takes a lot more than 5 attemps during playoffs.
I think he is too important for the team thats why I hate his streaks.

They've only played 4 games, and Danny shot 2-5 (.400) in one of those. I think 3 games is a little light to declare a slump. I'm not sure that's even a mini-slump. Don't get caught up with the bobbleheads who want to analyze on a shot-by-shot basis, and worrying about Kawhi's AST/TO ratio.

He wasn't shooting well in preseason either, except for the Rockets game where Harden was on him....

He will turn it up. He's bound to get back to being hot. Luckily we have pulled out these wins without his shooting TBH

You should know better than that. defenders don't magically turn into good defenders bc they have one decent game.

His limitations and awkwardness on offense are more than liability, it create very big overall team weak spot, should at least try cover up some and help the team by becoming more dirty and trash talker, cause he has some softness also in his defense... The team have to much liability with helf/one side/old players like Parker, Green, Patty, Manu, etc, they not going anywhere without another addition...

The good thing about players who can play defense is they can contribute when their shot is falling.

Green is still contributing, that said he has to shot at least 35% from the arc. If not teams will just sag off him and then what he contributes on one end takes away on the other.
I am sorry but it´s just the way the game is played, if he can´t turn around his shooting he will become a liability.

No team will sag off a shooter like Green, even when he's in a slump. Like already mentioned his gravity is off the charts, so he's still contributing offensively even by just standing there and doing all. His shot will come, it might be triggered by some idiot coach who'd decide to sag off

You also thought the Spurs were too soft to win the le in 2014 and would get killed by OKC and Miami, to be fair..

That is really the only thing that has bothered me about Danny's slump, that the games have been very close all the way to the end, and the vets have had to log a lot of minutes. If he had his shot going, that meant less minutes for the vets. All in all though, he's bound to get hot at some point.

There are not a lot of posters who still don't understand Danny's impact for the Spurs anymore... the few who continue with the but he can't dribble he can't drive his defense is overrated are among top worst ST posters tbh
