Don't worry guys. Parker is an expert on putting on mass.

With this guy the Spurs have the flexibility to bring him over if they deal Splitter or tell him to stay over there if they don't.

Priorities are Kawhi, LMA and Green, probably in that order... I think the reasoning is that if LMA comes over, TD gets less of a burden offensively, and he can get the bulk of center minutes with him...

Still, how many teams can honestly say they have no true centers on their roster?
About half of them. Unless you think the Zellers, Olynyk, and Vucevic, the Plumlees, Whiteside or any other spare that has started in this era are real difference makers.

Even if one were to grant that your no center scenario is the only outcome or even a valid outcome, Tiago's strength was in defending mobile 4's and on the pnr. A 'true center' like the ones mentioned is not going to solve that.

It's got to be doubly frustrating for you because the Spurs play close to the vest. Suffer every offseason.

I am somewhat surprised to see Milunitov as opposed to Hernangomez. Hernangomez has demonstrated a lot more putting up a 20+ PER in the ACB...
Higher ceiling. Hernangomez, while stronger, is not athletic and really struggles defending the PnR. His potential is just not what Nikola's is.

He's not close to being ready to come over.

    Maybe in 3 years.

Wow the spurs might just ruin a good chance because they are too loyal to the older guys..........

I think the Spurs idea is to keep Baynes and then find a vet filler (trade for Birdman?). But when you're dealing, you don't know what the other team might ask. So this is an option.

Norris Cole played a role in three straight Heat finals runs. What did Delledova do as a sop re who was a playoff rookie? Little things can mean a lot, even to a great team. Maybe Hunter and Neal could have battled for the backup two spot, with RJ developing over the season and getting situational minutes in the playoffs. Maybe Harrell could have provided the Spurs with a counter to GS' small-ball for a few minutes here and there. They don't have to be full-time guys to make a difference. But they aren't going to make that difference if they aren't even on the roster.
He may have played a role, but Norris Cole was in no way, shape or form a difference maker for the Heat. Take out Cole and put in any minimum salary point guard and you almost certainly end up with the same result. Even if you think he MIGHT have made a difference in 2013, he sure as didn't as a rookie with his 9 minutes, 32% shooting and 5 PER in the playoffs.

Nobody we chose at #26 would move the needle for us next season. If we would be a contender with Hunter or Harrell, we're a contender without them. Could they be a difference maker 2 or 3 years from now? Perhaps, but so could Milunitov. The idea that without a rookie we're not a contender next year is ludicrous.

ing embarrassing. Would rather them have used the pick to dump Splitter if it came to that. At least then it would be obvious they have a plan. Instead, they're saving $250k while being short of a max free agent by at least $3 Million.

Pop told Gino and TD he wanted both back next season, so hopefully they come back. I just think these guys will only sign once the Spurs are done making whatever impact moves the team want to do.

All this could be avoided if we could just trade Parker and his horrendous contract.. The season's over and he's still ing us

No, dumbass, $250k. That's the difference between the 80 percent of the rookie scale and the roster charge that is on the cap regardless of who it's used for.

It should be the other way around, the Spurs should know what they want and what they're doing before they start wheeling and dealing

If they sign for less than their hold then it might be a prerequisite for moves they might make.

I'm pretty sure the cap hold is 100% of the rookie scale which is $990k for #26

Yeah, but they don't have to use the hold. The only benefit of the hold is if they plan to give more than 100 percent. Regardless, that's $465k
