reportedly the Bobcats are interested in signing him.
problem is, he is injured again. (out for 3-4 more weeks)
Hughes for 13 million wasn't a good deal obviously.
for the min he would be worth a thought. I mean, we start Bogans, don't we.

No reason for the FO to waste more money. They have Malik Hairston. Sometimes I don't understand where you guys come up with this stuff. Our problem is having an undersized center and a bust for a small forward. Lets fill at those spots first before we add anything else....

We have TP, Manu, Hill in the backcourt. Why the f@(!* would we need Allen Iverson, Larry Hughes or any other guard you can think off.. We don't need guards. We need size!

    I try it again:
Spurs start Keith Bogans at SG. and not because 3 of our guards are injured. in fact all our guards are healthy. any team that starts Keith Bogans without at least 3 guards injured is literally morally obliged to evaluate any opportunity to upgrade the SG spot.
(and don't hesitate to name us all the Centers and SFs you think the Spurs should sign and who are currently on the FA market.)

Larry Hughes would be a good pick up. Not sure the Spurs are willing to spend the money, though.

The only reason to sign Larry Hughes is if the Spurs are trying to tank.

..Well be down to 2 games left in the season and still seeing posts about picking up horrible players like Hughes or still hearing about how tyrus thomas would have brought a championship to SA..

no to larry hughes...i also followed cavs for the last 4 years and hughes is not the one we want.....is he better than bogans???yes ...but he is injured all the time ...

i think spurs FO should consider signing a PF/C who will be waived within march 1st deadline...

We could tank without signing anyone. I'm not saying the Spurs should sign him, but he is a whole lot better than Bogans & Mason. He is a clutch 3pt shooter, good passer & a decent defender. It wouldn't be the worse thing they could do.

With his injury history I think the league should just declare Hughes a de facto Trailblazer and make Portland sign him.

I agree, it would be an upgrade. Actually, Hughes injured and on the bench would be an upgrade over what the Spurs have been using at the 2 and 3.

so a lot of posters here would take Bogans over Hughes, ofcourse Hughes isn't the greatest player ever, but he is a huge upgrade over Bogans, if we are not going to get defense from that position might as well add a little more offense and again if he is healthy he gets a good number of steals each game and is a underrated passer/playmaker.

Again it is not like it would be Hughes and dropping Manu or Hill it is Bogans, should be a good thing, but I still want to see who else will be waived by the March 1 deadline, Hughes is up there on the list though
