I was an runnning back/sprinter in HS, 6-2 240 pounds of twisted young railroad steel. I ran a 4.6 on grass. Could bench 425 yep.....a monster. I had offers from Fresno State, CPSLO, Bakersfield State, Chico and Sac State. But my dad had his heart set on me joining the navy like he had and his dad had and his dad had. So I join the navy, I was 19. I graduated at 18, didn't start school until I was 6.
So after boot camp it's off on my first WESTPAC, (I'd make 3). First stop was Hawaii, first bar...The Red Noodle (go ahead Google it). Second stop was Viet Nam ( not really a stop, we just hung out there about 10 miles off the coast****). First R&R port.,...Subic Bay and Olongapo City.
I'd hit Hong Kong, Kowloon, Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, ( few other places in Japan) in my 3 years and 10 months of naval service. Probably made it with....hmmmm?.....20ish hookers while over there. Never ever thinking I was with anyone younger than myself. Being a big guy I needed a full grown woman to handle all of me. So I searched them out, and you wanted someone with experience.
I went to COS on the GI bill and bought this home on a VA loan.
