Wrong..this aint rocket science...they should have tranquilized...with a sniper on standby as needed...if it was my kid it would have never happened period....so worst case they should have tranquilized...if the gorilla wanted that kid dead he would have been dead...they gave the Gorilla no Kudos or "atta boy" for not killing the kid immediately...where's the ing thanks for that...so in my humble view based on the fact that he didn't swat the boys head off but played with him they should have given the gorilla a chance...the gorilla saved the boys life not the cops...in fact the gorilla could have thought he was looking at some form of little monkey...I say that regardless of race

Again the gorilla should have served his own interests and killed the kid...there would have been no reason to shoot the gorilla had he killed the kid immediately....animals at Zoos have ZERO accountability for what they do....
And no I'm not saying I wanted to see the kid dead at all I'm just saying the animal trying to be kind didnt look after himself....gorillas are highly terroritorial to any newcomers..that Zoo and the parents need to go on trial for animal cruelty

Anyway, if they tried to tranquilize him, it might have agitated him enough to turn around and rip the kid apart.
