Please. Your ilk has called this guy everything but a white man since I came here before Pau held Kobe's hand.
This guy coaching is massively underrated, tbh, it's undeniable that his system is extremely good when players aren't actively trying to sabotage him.

Preach, Cully. Back in the Suns/Spurs days El would have never posted such drivel ...SSOL ...was a gimmick much the way they laugh at the Kerr system now.
It's a regular season winning formula. ultimately, his biggest demise are issues on the defensive end. Second to that, once teams figured out ways and have the personnel to stop the attack point (the PG), the offense breaks down. It is a difficult offense to stop, but you can do it with relatively efficiency in one or two possessions, which means that as long as you keep the game close, you have a good chance of beating them in crunch time.
I have said it over and over again, three-first-names brought in this new era of basketball (along with Adelman), and he deserves that credit.
You gd rights, Killa. We caught El tiptoein' thru them tulips. That SOB. GD him. You hold him down and I'll kick all manner out of him.
Ready? CHARGE!!!!!!!!!
I've said it before, tbh, you can quote me on it, this guys was a Horry bump away from the conference finals. The Spurs back then were just the better team, but that shouldn't take away from the fact that he put a system that largely won (even if just in the regular season).
Spursfan largely doesn't know what's it like to miss the playoffs a lot (or a little, tbh), but then again we had a true leader that didn't allow that to happen, and played nice with his coach, tbh, instead of sabotaging him...
D'Antoni was basically the first coach to realise to really emphasise spacing in the early 2000s. Now it's accepted as crucial to the game.
Well IIRC this is the first time he has ever had an above average SG on his team so OP might be onto something tbh
You know what I meant. Don't even go down such a path. I'd be ashamed of you if you did.
Whose laughing at the Kerr system? Especially since its the same system the Spurs ran in 2014. We laugh at their personnel tbh.
Bend over. It won't be a laughing matter.
Joe Johnson and raja bell wer decent. Definitely above average.
He had a stacked Suns team with MVPNash and Amare in his prime (he was a beast easy 30/10 every night) an athletic Boris Diaw and the pesky Raja Bell. Bench was stacked led by Leandro The Blur Barbosa. Spurs were incredibly fortunate that series Pop had no answer for fun and gun at times.
True true
But those are the only ones tbh
Yep.Near or Prime Nash, Amare , Marion, Barbosa and Diaw. Not a single Finals to show 4 it. Adelman. AVERY even George Karl sniffed a finals.
So was Junior Buss right for choosing d'Antoni over Phil?
You birches can't have it both ways .
And for the record Achilles put up his best post back2back Finals in that post ASG stretch ...right before he blew it out.
I have a D'Antoni autograph
I think I lost it![]()
He did well with old Joe too though...
Phil left when he lost control of MVPau... he doesn't coach non-stacked teams, tbh...
smart guy. I regard him a better/smarter coach than Pop.
seriously...wtf![]()
Cant wait to see your guy fall, face first, in the playoffs.
Like the Clippers do year in and year out?
He had Joe Johnson.
