The le of the bill tells the tale: a bill "To authorize the use of the United States Armed Forces to achieve the goal of preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons." This legislation, introduced by Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL), is as it appears: an authorization for the President to use military force against Iran. But it is much worse than that.
You will often see potentially important pieces of legislation languish in the US House. A bill will remain active, meaning that it can be brought to the Floor at any time. But it flies just under the radar. Other times the language floats around Washington for years until a “crisis” necessitates its activation and passage.
As we know well, what eventually became the PATRIOT Act — one of the single greatest attacks on civil liberties in US history — started out and spent much of its early life as a sugar-plumb fairy dancing in neocon fantasies. Then came 9/11 and it was dusted off and imposed on the American people. And the United States has never been — and may never be — the same. Either way, these measures are important if seldom seen.
This legislation, introduced by Rep. Alcee Hastings specifically authorizes the president to launch a pre-emptive war on Iran at any time of his choosing and without any further Congressional oversight or input. The operative sentence in the resolution reads, “The President is authorized to use the Armed Forces of the United States as the President determines necessary and appropriate in order to achieve the goal of preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.” (Emphasis added).
President Trump — and, importantly, his entire national security team — has been extraordinarily aggressive toward Iran, repeatedly threatening that country both at the negotiating table and on the battlefield. H.J.Res 10 would be just the blank check the Administration craves to realize such threats.
And thanks to ongoing US and allied sabre-rattling in the Persian Gulf, tensions continue to escalate. At the end of this month, the UK, US and allied military forces will take part in operation “Unified Trident,” a joint exercise in the Persian Gulf that will simulate a military confrontation with Iran.
How would Washington respond if a bill was active in the Iranian parliament authorizing war on the United States and the Iranian navy began conducting joint exercises with the Chinese in the Gulf of Mexico simulating an attack on the United States?

Yup you got Israeli clown screaming "war war war with Iran!!" ing clowns want war but want t fight it under Uncle Sams skirts. Netanyahu is a stain on humanity
And of course the Saud s would love to get in on the action.
Sadly it seems both countries have Trump in their pocket.
I think war with Iran has been pretty much locked and set for 2017/18. Question is what role will China and Russia play?? And if war breaks out will Paki and India go at it for s and giggles??
s about to get real
Wars usually start around November for some reason and big signs start around August. Lets see what happens this year.
Its not out of the question that many conflicts start at once and snowball i to The Big One:
- middle east explodes with Israel/US/SaudS attack Iran
- conflict in South China sea
- N Korea attacks S Korea
- Paki(Saud servants) attack India
- ukraine explodes into full on war
- turkey goes in raw on everyone
- trump says it and also invades Venezuela
could get real real quick
Oh forgot about the clumsy goofy Brits. They probably test launch a Trident and nuke Florida by mistake![]()

Neocons have wanted to go after Tehran since the Pappy Bush, aka "wimp", failed to invade Iraq and bomb Iran in the Gulf War.
For anyone wondering what cyber warfare might look like, the conflict between Iran and Saudi Arabia provides an ongoing example.
Since 2012, the two nations have been lobbing digital artillery fire at each other in a simmering conflict that began when Iranian hackers destroyed more than 30,000 computers of the Saudi crown jewel, Aramco, the world’s biggest energy company. Since then, and as recently as last week, new cyberattacks have unfolded.
Just eight days ago, Saudi Arabia issued a cyber-defense alert, the equivalent of an air raid siren in a more conventional conflict.
“This is an urgent call for your cybersecurity team to be on alert for Shamoon 2 and ransomware attacks that could possibly cripple your organization’s systems,” the nation’s Computer Emergency Response Team told domestic network systems operators, referring to Iranian-created malicious code.
As the Trump administration casts about for a cybersecurity policy, the byte battle between Iran and Saudi Arabia may well be a harbinger for conflicts to come.
It bears even closer watching following a statement Wednesday from President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, Michael Flynn, in which he listed recent “provocative” actions by Iran and said, “We are officially putting Iran on notice.”
As U.S. hostilities with Iran rise, its offensive cyber capabilities will become evermore pertinent to the U.S. government.

So how are white supremacists who voted Trump going to square away Trump being dragged into war by a Jew?
Neocons don't GAF about Jews. They just love WAR AS BUSINESS, being investors in the MIC.
I'm talking about the white supremacists, not the traditional republican voters head.
The man has a jewish daughter, white supremacists played themselves tbh
They like to kill ragheads, sand knitters, camel jockeys, goat ers, Muslims, while hating the Jews.
They'd be the first to sign up, the military being pretty much employer of last resort for many of them.
Where have I heard this before?
They are all the same in boothead world.
Iran. Time for Trump to bring it.
This from the guy who was ting his pants about Obama starting WW3 by enacting sanctions on Russia.
You less macho-wannabe rightwingnutjobs are always wanting wars that YOU won't have to fight.![]()
lol Comparing Iran to Russia. Iran is on watch. They better chill out.
What do they need to chill out exactly? They haven't been the aggressor in any recent conflict.
Maybe you should strap up and head over the the middle east to teach Iran a lesson if you're so passionate about it, tbh.
Donald may need to get the okay from Vladimir on this one. Kinda slipped by his hair this thought.
Russia and Iran have their own projects of cooperation.
Donald and staff are going to find out foreign policy can be very messy. Our new president and new aides seem to think this is easy stuff. The bluffing will get tiresome and will be tested.
