i get like 20 a day... my block list is out of this world. them indians overseas and their phishing of numbers!

Actually got a call that showed as my own number. Tons using my area code. I don’t answer anything unless it’s in my contact list. I figure if it’s legit, they’ll leave a message.
yes and no. there's apps to block calls and some also have others review numbers so you know who's calling. i use an app to block area codes though i get plenty of satx calls from unknown phished numbers all the time.
the most common is a phished local number similar to your own. Ex; your number is 210-316-9029 and there's would be 210-316-8763.

Same, if you want to contact me and I'm not answering the phone, you can either text me or email me. If you don't have my email address then I probably have no reason to hear from you.
Mine always say "Suspected Spam Call" so just ignore them.
ya that is helpful but it also blocks legit #s.
Legit numbers will either leave a message or they're someone I've already added to contacts. The only legit number I've ever had labelled as spam is when my alma mater calls for donations, and one could certainly argue that's an accurate labelling.

I feel the same way, but what if you're taking a shower and they call? End of the world? Of course not. Just treat unknown numbers as missed calls.
