For those that don’t know, our economy is wrecked and Trump wants to force everyone back to work with an out of control virus still killing people by the thousands.

Don’t forget that Trump also wants a SC pick who will help gut Obamacare so said people being forced back to work won’t have health insurance they can use if they get COVID and need to go to the hospital

easiest answer on the supreme court issue is just to constantly point to consistency
- if they didnt put up garland for a vote on the basis it was an election year, the same standard should be held for this seat (with significantly less time before the election, no less). consistency is key
- if they point to democrats rhetoric about the 2016 seat, just say that you agreed with the democrats then, and if garland's nomination wasn't obstructed, there would be much less of an issue with the current seat being filled, but that's not what happened. consistency is key.
- if they bring up the stupid "we need 9 justices" talking point, slap it back and say that apparently it wasn't a problem to go into the 2016 election with 8 justices, so again, consistency is key.
these answers are layups. and then point to the specific comments made by republican senators about how they would not confirm a justice during the final year of trump's term, and that they said so on the record and asked to be held to it. lindsey graham made his comments AFTER what was happening to kavanaugh, so his using the kavanaugh proceedings as an excuse to renege makes no sense
the excuses from trump will have to continue pivoting at every opportunity, because its flatly impossible to hide the inconsistency.
