Shit 2k9 is badass. I got it and I must say I can't believe I didn't get it sooner.

I was about 15 points down in the 3rd quarter to the Lakers when I let Tim Duncan take over a bit. My defense sucks because I'm new so we were just trading shots... but then the D started doubling Tim and I hit about 10 3 pointers in the 4th quarter alone. I felt retarded cheering on my fake Spurs team, but I couldn't help pumping my fist every time Finley or Manu hit an open 3.

I ended up beating the Lakers like 135-110

that's the best way to go. Fantasy teams kind of ruin the fun.

I looked at the league jman the way they have it set is 16 teams so everybodies team is fairly stacked.

Only problem with that Kori is

1. Some teams are just outright crappy :P

For example even though I like some of the players and know how to use them playing as the bucks on superstar or hall of fame is hard as hell.


2. Everybody races to grab LA/Spurs/Nuggets/Cavs/Boston as these are the big powerhouses.

maybe a stipulation that a team is giving 1 all-star or super star from a team not chosen. So if the Clippers, Bucks, and Thunder aren't chosen as teams... then after a sort of draft in the league players can choose a baron davis, redd, or durant type of player.

or if a team is rated 90 or above they get nothing, 80-89 they get an all star, 70-79 they get an all star and a solid role player etc etc.

just some ideas.

Fantasy is the only way to level out the talent on each team. Having real teams would put people who have Boston Cleveland LA or the Spurs at an instant advantage.

I guess as long as i fill a roster with players similar to the spurs (bowen-battier, parker-barbosa) it shouldnt be as weird.

For users: If you are in a league that has "Flex Schedule Que" turned on, to manage your que is simple.

1. Login to 2ksports.com and goto your leagues home page
2. Hover over the "My Team" menu option, a drop down will appear
3. In the drop down, click "Edit schedule"

There are 2 boxes, the first box is your "Que", games you can play at any time. The second box is all other games. Simply move games in and out of your que to play them as you see fit. It is advised you edit your schedule while your and your opponents console is not online. If it is, we recommend a fresh reboot to ensure all stats record correctly.

Play a 3 2 zone and play the top defender on your team. I.E Bowen Battier Artest etc. Play tight pressure on kobe and lebron and deny them entry to the lane. Keep them passing and forcing to take off balance jumpers.

If they aren't driving and are just shooting up crazy jumpers set tight defense with emphasis on double team when they get the ball to force them to pass.

You have no true shooters so zone force you outside and use Lebron so much he has to sit out an entire quarter :P Judging from your block stats most people try and pound it on you trying to slow the game down and going low. I'd say to hell with that switch to run and gun and bury you in transistion since your pf's c's are very slow and have low stam other than Nene. You also have low 3 percent numbers so if I play zone it doesn't look like you shoot well from the outside :P

Laugh I need to sleep and yes my style of play can match up to lebron and kobe however I need specific minded players to do so. As I figured when I played Kobe it was 50+ points from him and only Artest and one other guy in double figures had I had what I needed Kobe scores maybe 35-40 and I win that game. As for you well just I figure lebron james everywhere and I got nothing to use to keep in front Roy nor Lewis works so well :P Also doesnt help I have redd and I can't stand his shot and I suck very badly with it for some reason. 1. Make sure your xbox/ps3 is connected to the internet and you are signed in with your game profile
2. From the main menu, goto "Features > 2K REEL MAKER"
3. A new sub menu pops up with the options "2K REELMAKER, REELVIEWER, MY REELS, MAIN MENU" Click on "2K REELMAKER" (Screen shot)
4. You will now see a list of all your saved "replays". select which replay you want to open in 2K REELMAKER (Screen Shot)
5. Edit your highlight as you see fit. Hit start to bring up the tools menu and click on the "Save Tool" (bottom right). You will see the option "Upload Reel to 2Ksports.com". Click this option (Screen Shot)

How to upload a screen shot

1. Repeat steps 1-4 from "How to upload a video"
2. Edit your highlight to get the screen shot you wish to upload. Hit start to bring up the tools menu and click on the "Save Tool" (bottom right). You will see the option "Save Screenshot". Click this option , then name and save your screen shot. (Screen Shot)

if they hadnt of drafted all my 90's as PGs, I'd be a lot more enthused to play. I have shopped cp3 a bit and no one wants him. He's the shittiest 99 Ive ever seen, doesnt draw fouls despite missing gimmee shots over defenders is his main problem, ends up getting blocked over and over - but his jumpshot sucks unless he's wide open, so wtf? I'd have mch prefered getting tim and two low 90's players instead of nash and billups .. i usually pick pg last in fantasy draft and usually get a 2guard instead ... I'll be fair and say he's the best PG in the game so far as I know, but that's really not saying much.

honestly, here's to secondseason whenever it comes because i'm playing out my games and waiting for the next draft. I'll show up 1hr early for the draft instead of 30 mins earlier like last time :bang

as far as the draft goes a lot of us didnt get to pick the first 5 or 6 players and the cpu picked for us...for whatever gay ass reason the draft started early and not all of us where in there

The cpu for some reason does not build a balanced team thru the fantasy draft, instead pick the highest rated player or something, very stupid on 2k's part because the draft takes so long and if I could trust them to build a decent team I wouldnt have even cared about showing up late.

But the proof is in the puddin ... the cpu drafted 3 pgs for me, the worst position to draft 90's from due to their size mainly. I am bitter honestly, I would have had such a badass team had I just showed up earlier.

Make sure you adjust the minutes played first.

Then go into the lineup listing and adjust pg sg sf pf c 6th 7th of who you want coming in.

Please I've played the most games in the league with 19 and I have 11 wins, 8 losses- pretty much .500 ball and you think I would care about 1 more loss or 1 more win on my record? Doesnt make a difference to me since its barely League 1 I just wanna finish the Season off and get to the playoffs...that is if anyone in here besides like 4 or 5 people do also.

i am still down to run season2 when we are done with season1 and the site... well the site is postponed because i am letting my server&url run out this month. i will reup with my server company but under a new url and when i launch that i will also launch season2's site with a chat enabled on it.

anyhow here's to hoping season2 comes along sooner or later and season1 coming to an end.

Wow the Playoffs have started. I guess it simulated the rest of the reg. season for everyone? Well in the East we have the Bulls, Raptors, Heat, and Hawks. In the West we have the Jazz, Blazers, Spurs, and Mavs.

So as we all know the last time we tried this league thing it went down the drain, well I just bought myself a full year of XBOX LIVE and I want to make the most of it. Seeing as we had atleast 9 people interested in the last league attempt I thought it be in our best interest to try and get the ball rolling once again with a new league.

First, I want to see how many of us are interested and are willing to walk the walk and not just talk the talk this time around. All you gotta do is leave your XBOX Live Gamertag in this thread and I will add you to a list that will be comprised of other interested ST posters.

Once DECEMBER 10, 2008 ends I will not be accepting anymore requests to be in this league.

I will setup the league based on polls about league settings, afterwhich I will then send out invites. If you have any suggestions for sliders and whatnot I wanna hear them. Remember to vote! Voice your opinion! hahaha.

PS: INVITES WILL BE SENT OUT DURING DECEMBER 15, 2008 - DECEMBER 19, 2008. REFER TO THE WEBSITE.

Yesterday, I played my 1st online 2k9 game; I lost by 1 point, but it's not the worst part.

I couldn't make 1 single FT !!!!!! to the point where the other dude was doing a hack-a-lefty !!!!!

Is it possible that he cheated? or does it have something to do with settings and what not?
