Another game another choke.

So much for the team being different.

They need a win tomorrow of the highest order or this season is gonna go down the drain with a tough ass series in Tampa Bay this weekend.

Without jinxing, we should be able to finish this one off. We'll stay one game behind Boston. Let's go Yankees.

Much better than last Friday's meltdown against Boston. I still need to even my record up next time. The Rangers are 2-3 this year when I go to the games. :(

I'm excited about Chris Davis coming back but Blalock getting benched isn't that great. Where are you going to put him though? I suppose he's got a spot on DH but I'm not thrilled with this move. I'm all in favor of starting Pudge and moving Teagarden to a backup role where he used to be.

Chris

We really need Millwood to start this series off right with a W. Lets hope the Yanks are in a slump.

Texas Chili Dog

so much for the White Sox helping us. Boston blew it open in the 7th. Whoopdie-do about the Tigers. Then Angels never score first. They will probably score four in the next inning or two. I expect it to be 4-1 Angels by the 3rd inning.

Spursfan092120

Millwood vs Chamberlain tomorrow. Let's go Rangers!!!!

The thing that surprises me is that despite Millwood's good ERA, we are only 12-12 when he starts, and we've lost our last three games with him starting. WTF?

Chris
08-25-2009, 12:58 AM
He's being outshined by all the fresh talent but I'm confident he will have a solid game tomorrow. Start Pudge you fuckers!

game on! go Rangers!!!!

Texas Chili Dog

Texas Chili Dog
08-25-2009, 08:55 PM
A little good, and a little bad.

The good: Michael Young hit a HR to make it 10-5.
The bad: about 20 seconds before that, Jason Bay hit a HR for the Red Sox and they now lead 4-3 in the 8th. :(

its gonna be hard to take another game from the Yankees this series.

They have a stacked team and have been absolutely on fire lately

i'm one of the biggest Ranger fans there is, but i don't see how we're gonna get out of this series without losing atleast 1

Texas Chili Dog
08-26-2009, 03:03 PM
the mission is to keep the Yanks under 80 wins by the time we leave New York.

btw, the Angels are already leading 2-0 in the 2nd.

Texas Chili Dog
08-26-2009, 05:29 PM

I don't know if this is true but someone told me the Texas Rangers have a grand total of 1 playoff victory (not series but game).

So they're playing a team with 26 times more World Series Championships than the Rangers have playoff victories.

So what's your point? The Yankees haven't won anything in awhile. The Rangers have a chance. And now without Jason Jennings allowing over half of his inherited runners to score, we might have a better chance.

Texas Chili Dog

9-0 white sox :smokin'

And who cares how many rings the yankees have. the rangers have been around since 1971. (not counting when they were in washington, i think). The Yankees moved to New York in 1903. Back then they had less teams and the Yankees had the majority of the talent pool. No team has had NEARLY as much money as the Yankees have had over the years thus their dynasty..The Yanks havnt won a title in 9 years, won their own division in 3, and didnt even make the playoffs last year. Not saying they dont have bragging rights over the Rangers, they do, but still.. that has nothing to do with the current teams and the current playoff race.. Fuck The Yankees.

Texas Chili Dog

what do you guys think?

I think...no, I KNOW...we will be cheering for the Yankees quite a bit in the last month. They have 14 games left against the Red Sox, Rays, and Angels.

Our next four series are all winnable. If this team means business, then they will take care of business. Twins, Jays, Orioles, and Indians? Texas needs to roll through that two week stretch like they are a playoff caliber team. No more of this beat-the-good-teams-flop-against-the-rest crap. Win and win some more.

Texas Chili Dog
08-28-2009, 06:10 PM

Funny little side note: My buddy/roommate came back to the apt just as the Rangers had made it 11-3 in the 5th. When it got to 11-4, I asked him if he thought the Rangers had any hope. He said no, so I asked him what the score needed to be and by what inning for him to believe the Rangers had a chance. His answer: 11-9 by the 7th. Needless to say he's looking at the TV with his mouth hanging open right now. :lol

Texas Chili Dog

absolutely...what's the best place to get a good price on Cowboys tickets?

I usually use stubhub. But there are some places you can find for cheaper. I use stubhub because it is so reliable. The thing is I don't think there is a site that consistently has the cheapest tickets. One site might have the best prices for one game while another has the best prices for the next game. It really is a crap shoot. That's why I usually just google for tickets, and then look through every single site I can find to see which is the best for the certain game I am looking at.

However, last season, I started getting into the habit of picking up tickets in person to cut down on the costs. There is a DFW ticket source that is a mile away from me that I could purchase tickets at, where I wouldn't have to pay for shipping and any other fees. Also, when I bought tickets for the Ravens game, I got them from a guy on ebay and met with him in person in the area to exchange cash for the tix, again saving myself any fees.

But yeah, definitely look at stubhub, but also just google and you'll find many many sites to browse through. Whenever I look for tickets, I will post on this forum which sites I've noticed are the cheapest.

Very good article. Feldman is a monster. Oh, and here's to another win tonight for Tampa. :toast

Thanks, I figured it was a good day to write about that since Feldman has a road start tomorrow. He has been lights out on the road: 10-1 with the one loss being to a NL team. So no road losses against the AL.

and yeah, GO RAYS!!!!!
