lol at people dogging Finley for every play, when he did not even start and the team was down double digits and getting owned.

IF you scroll up you will see that Finely is not the only one getting the blame.

Bullshit Ice.
1. Teams with all-stars don't win championships? Where have you been for the last two decades?
2. You're basically saying that the Big 3, our "all-stars", are lazy and that's why we're losing. How exactly did they win 3 rings then?

This is not laziness, it's lack of chemistry, and poor lineup coaching by Pop. It's also a bunch of players who don't know the system and keep getting lost.

I mean teams like the loaded Portland Trailblazers, 2004 LA Lakers. None of the stars wanted to do the dirty work on those teams.

I am using RJ as an example here. He's never really been that interested in defense. So far it looks like he's waiting for someone else to play defense for him. RJ needs to play like a role player on defense and for some reason he is playing like a lazy star than wants nothing to do with defense.

I mean teams like the loaded Portland Trailblazers, 2004 LA Lakers. None of the stars wanted to do the dirty work on those teams.

Okay, fair enough.

However, I think RJ's problem isn't that he isn't trying, it's that he's just not a very good defender any more. Ever since he got injured he's lost a lot of lateral quickness, and I think it's killed his individual defence.

I hope TP is ok. With the way this team is playing, they can ill afford an injury to TP. You saw how bad the team looks with TP playing like shit; imagine without him.

Spurs need TP to have a huge year. They don't need him tired and injured 5 games into the damn season.

I'd be shocked if the Spurs win this game. They played about as well as they are going to play in the second quarter and didn't make much of a dent.

Manu needs to settle down and play smarter. Hill needs to step up. Duncan needs to add a jump or two to his repertoire. Jefferson needs to keep attacking the rim. Pop can't simply run small ball the rest of the way.

Bonner actually looked pretty decent for the six or seven minutes he was in. He didn't score, but he kept Aldridge 0-3 for 0 points during his time in there, so he played good D.

I will answer this one for TImvp.

It's because TP has looked like total crap so far this season. he looks gassed, disinterested and just plain poor out there. he didn't get a good training camp in to integrate himself with the new players, and as a point guard that is very important to learn the players you're going to play with.

Look at Dirk, he looks fresh as a daisy out there this season.

:lol I agree, I need to see his jumpshot completely back to 2007-2008 levels. before I say he's "feeling it"

That said, I'm hoping Manu brings out one of his patented, "kill Portland to dismay of Portlanders" quarters. I think Portland is one of those teams that hate seeing Tony or Manu.

The Spurs have zero interest in him and the peeps (not you) need to come to grips with reality on that.

Call me crazy but I've seen some good things. I like what Bogans brings on D, his offense? Other than the layup that got blocked, did they even PASS him the ball? I just think everyone as per freaking usual needs to take a step back and chill and understand teams that are overhauled and out of shape as much as the Spurs are and were are not gonna be clicking on all 8 cylinders out of the gate.

I'm pretty sure it's an error; I remember it pretty vividly.

The Spurs played in Minnesota, had the double-overtime (IIRC) victory with Tony's 55, and came home for a game against Miami that was televised by ESPN; that was the game JVG stated that the Spurs were fielding maybe the least talented team in the league at that point in time.
